Who was your favorite character and why?

that's a toss up between herald trainee mags and King's own Herald Nicholas

Which character – as performed by Nick Podehl – was your favorite?

    King's own Herald Nicholas

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    The hidden herald

    Any additional comments?

I think Nick Podehl did a very nice job with his work on this entire series and should be among the first under consideration to be asked to read all future Heralds Of Valdimar books that require a male reader.

Mags was a Trainee in the Heraldic Collegium in Haven, Valdemar’s capital city. Though his background of poverty and abuse at Cole Pieters’ gem mine set him apart from most other trainees, nonetheless he had found his own group of friends. Bear, Lena, and Amily were all students whose situations in life set them apart from more usual Trainees. The four of them had found mutual support in their shared misfortunes, and together struggled to help one another find solutions to their individual problems.

Would you consider the audio edition of Changes: Collegium Chronicles, Book 3 to be better than the print version?

yes, I have always liked to listen to books, I've always thought of it much same way as listening to things on the radio as our grandparents did. Leaving us free to be less worried about the words and able to give more attention to the details of the story

Who was your favorite character and why?

it's hard to pick just one. so my top four are; Mags Nicholas kaylin and Keral (the king)

What about Nick Podehl’s performance did you like?

I think he has the right style and tone for this story line. He is good at his craft.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    yes.

Filmmaker Steve McCarthy explores the meaning of heroism by discovering the life of his friend, Captain Paddy Brown, New York's most decorated fireman who died on 9/11. McCarthy starts with Brown's incredible acts of heroism, saving people from flames, breathing life into fire victims. Eventually, McCarthy finds a more complicated subtext: Brown's childhood in an alcoholic home, his abuse by priests, his rape at age 13, his traumatic tour of duty as a Marine in Vietnam, his string of lovers.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Finding Paddy is a biography that tells the story of the life of F.D.N.Y. Captain Patrick J. Brown(Paddy to his friends.) anyone looking an example of heroism in todays world to tell your kids about or even fallow yourself would be well served to look here I think. No from the sound of it this Gentleman was not perfect but he can be seen as someone who may have made mistakes but learned to pick himself up and try again A good thing to learn for everyone.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Finding Paddy?

for me it was finding out that Capt. Brown had been a Vietnam veteran as well as a Firefighter.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scenes are the ones in which you find out just how much of a Fireman's Fireman Capt. Brown was willing to be.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    The quite Hero

Mags was an orphan and slave of ‘bad blood’ who toiled in a gem mine all his young life. He would have died before adulthood, had he not been Chosen and taken to Haven to be trained in the new Herald Collegium. Now, Mags was never hungry and never cold. He slept in a real bed in his own room and, most importantly, he had Dallen, who was like another part of himself. And yet, aside from Lena and Bear, both loners like he was, he couldn’t relate to most of the trainees.
