"A Perfect Halloween Story"
Scary, well acted, great sound effects.Great for a late night listen.
And (most critical) this is NOT a "Group Hug" kind of Horror Story!
It is very creepy.
"Great dirty gossip - Pathetic leftist slant"
The mud held my interest.
The authors politics, however, are as ingratiating and fawning as can be expected from these beltway boys.
"Jim Morrison"
This book is a riveting look at the life of complex man, a man very much a product of (and contributor to) his time. It captures the feel and history of LA in the 60's and early 70's.
Morrison, debauched, naive, sympathetic, brilliant, cruel, a train wreck in waiting. He was many things....a phony he was not.
Don't let the length of this title put you off, this is a compelling story. Great writing and narration make this one of my all time favorite listens.
"Lots of Laughs"
You know Dave Barry. If you appreciate Mr. Barry's humor,
this is among the best.
I loved it. Most guys I know loved it.
I think women will love it, but hey, "Who Cares!"
...kidding.....honest.....
"A Great Bit of History"
No matter which side of the political divide you hail from, I believe you will enjoy this work immensely. It gripped me from the start.
Mr.Whalen's narration is warm and easy.
I highly recommend this reading, especially to political and/or 20th century history buffs.
"The Greatest !"
Possibly the funniest series ever!
John Cleese, Connie Booth, Prunella Scales et al.
Cleese wrote the first 6 shows with Booth (his then wife......who, by the by, is American.) The series was so popular that BBC begged for 6 more episodes. Cleese and Booth (now divorced) got together and brought us 6 more gems of comic genius.
The Major, Manuel ( who narrates the series in letters to his Mom ), Chef......they are all here! To my surprise I found that I enjoyed the audio version more than the televised show.
If you are serious about funny, you will get the whole series post haste!
I already have these. You lucky Audible Listeners!

"Yes!"
Tim Curry! Lemony Snicket!
This is as good as it gets!
"U.N.: Ally of Tyranny and Chaos"
Why did "The Killing Fields" Pol Pot never face a tribunal?
Why didn't the UN take action on Rawanda, Somalia, or much else?
Dore Gold (author of the excellent "Hatred's Kingdom") writes a very timely book. A very profound book. Moral Equivalency is not tolerance, it rings the death knell of Western Civilization.
Gold answers the questions and puts forward a strong case that The U.N. is not benign.
This book is a News Hound's delight.
Robertson Dean narrates perfectly.Buy this book! You'll be glad you did!
