Long ago, a human astrophysicist, Inigo, began dreaming scenes from the life of a remarkable human being named Edeard, who lived within the Void, a self-contained microuniverse at the heart of the galaxy. There, under the beneficent gaze of mysterious godlike entities, humans possessed uncanny psychic abilities, and Edeard's were the strongest of all. Equally strong was his determination to bring justice and freedom to a world terrorized by criminal violence and corruption.

I thought the first book was interesting and pretty good, but this one is excellent. The characters are quite compelling and the story takes great direction. By the end you can't wait to get into the 3rd and see what happens.

Stephen Leeds, AKA 'Legion,' is a man whose unique mental condition allows him to generate a multitude of personae: hallucinatory entities with a wide variety of personal characteristics and a vast array of highly specialized skills. As the story begins, Leeds and his 'aspects' are drawn into the search for the missing Balubal Razon, inventor of a camera whose astonishing properties could alter our understanding of human history and change the very structure of society.

I loved this short story. It is amazing that in such a short time you can get to know characters so well and have such a thrilling story. The performace is also amazing with it.

I really hope that this is expanded into a real novel or series.

The year is 1984 and the city is Tokyo.

A young woman named Aomame follows a taxi driver's enigmatic suggestion and begins to notice puzzling discrepancies in the world around her. She has entered, she realizes, a parallel existence, which she calls 1Q84 - "Q" is for "question mark". A world that bears a question....

    Story

I liked the story well enough, but there was a lot of sex scenes that were really not needed. The story also moved quite slow. There were times I would speed up the narration just to get through a slow part.

I really like the performaces through. The narration is what made the book barable for me.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

This is a phenominal story and performance. It moves along so fast but never feels rushed. I was truely captivated by the story and characters to such a degree that I finished the whole thing in two days then went and bought the second one.

The performance is also great. There are parts where it shifts characters or perspective and the actors make sure you know the change was made. This is one of the best performances I have heard to date.

They say Black Dow has killed more men than winter and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbor, is not about to stand by smiling while Black Dow claws his way any higher. The orders have been given, and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

After having read the first law trilogy, this was exactly what I expected. Violent, funny, lots of twists and turns. It is ingaging and extreemly run to listen to. Buy this and you won't be disappointed.

Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time® burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, listeners have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over 40 million copies in over 32 languages. When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork.

This is the end to one of my favorite series. It is well done and a satisfying ending. Thee are lose ends left, but I for one like the openness of the ending. There was a giant smile on my face as the story ended.

I appreciate it the narrators staying the same for all books. All I can say is that listening to all 14 books sounds like a lot, but it is worth every minute.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, you have to pay attention to what's going on or you will get lost. Luckily the story is so good that it's easy to pay attention.

    Any additional comments?

I like the characters, world and stories. It is easy to get hooked by multiple stories and I can wait to get into the next book to see how it goes.
