Finished this in a day and a half and that was with going to work and sleeping. Such a good book. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The narrator in this series does a really wonderful job. And as always the main characters and seconds are done so well, fleshed out so well they become very familiar. I never have trouble remembering her characters from one book to the next. They are all vivid. The plot was very interesting. The only con is now to wait for the next one.
Parts of this are down right creepy but it's a good book. Parts of the ending were pretty clearly coming but parts surprised me and that is good. She cleaned up the end but still left lingering questions that would lead you to another book if she'd just write it and I would read it.
Never a quibble with Khristine Hvam's. She always does a great job.
This one just didn't work quite as well as the first one. I like Vlad but Lila drives me a little nuts. Plus it ended on a cliff. Usually I don't mind that too much but this was a really abrupt way to end the book. I'm sure I'll give the next one a chance because usually I like her books more than this
Great book. Really enjoyed it. Xandra is such a great main character and Locke does a very nice job with all the supporting characters as well. Really good plot.
The narrator does a really nice job with all of these.
as always very good. Really enjoyed it. Eve and Roark are the best and watching her come a long through this series has been wonderful. Best character development ever.
This is a new tale for Elaina and Raphael. I've always liked them and this is an edge of the seat story but.....it wasn't quite a five and I'm not sure why. I think the ending wobbled a little for me but even at that it was still a 4 almost a 5.
The narrator did a fine job.
This series isn't quite as disturbing as some of her other books but it's very good. She brings the world and the characters to life. I can't wait for the next one. I hope we get the same set of characters. The plot was done really well.
I like it. Edge of your seat at points. Good characters I could connect with and a good plot with a good romance. What more could you want?
This one seemed a little more bloody to me but it was still a great book. There is so much character development over the life of the series and this was no exception, so much to love about the characters. I went through it in one night. Any time I burn through a book that fast I know I loved every thing about it.
This is the first book I've read of David Baldacci and it won't be the last. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's not bloody or gritty like Sandford but it has interesting characters and a good plot.
Scott Brick did a great job as usual.
I read this long ago and remembered how much I liked it so I had to try it as an audio book. I still liked it but for me it's not quite a five. I liked the characters, good and bad, a lot but as much as I liked them individually they didn't really mesh together for me. Except for maybe Kerwell and Inspector Renko. They had an odd relationship that was interesting.
The narrator was ok maybe a bit dry for me but at the same time maybe utilitarian was what they were looking for in conjunction with a Russian back drop that was kind of the same way.
I'll continue on but I think these are better read in book form.
