Really good second book in the Graveyard Queen series. I really like how the story unfolds for Amelia, how she discovers the towns secrets and how they effect her. At times it's a little predictable but getting there is a treat. Amelia and Thane are interesting and likeable and finding out how they've been manipulated is a very good read.
Khristine Hvam does a great narration but then I knew that from the Jane Yellowrock books she also narrates. I don't know a thing about a southern accent but I like to think that it's as Khristine represents it. In these books the accent makes the story all the creepier. I certainly hope they stick with her for the narration of the third book, The Prophet. Hopefully it will show up on audible soon.
I didn't want this to ever end. The ending quarter or so of the book is particularly wild. And Virgil as always was as entertaining as anything else in the book.
I liked the book despite occasionally wanting to strangle Lexi. She's not TSTL but some of her choices are arguably stupid. All in all it was a good book with interesting characters. I will continue with the series.
I really liked the narrator in the audio version.
I was afraid at first I wouldn't like this one but it didn't take long for me to change my mind. Good story with all the same great characters.
I always like these. Virgil is kind of like Lucas but with some of the edges softened, but not alot. I could see where this was going but that's okay. it was fun getting there.
These are some of my very favorite books. It's been fun watching Jane evolve. Her and the Younger brothers make a nice family and I really like the addition of Bruiser.
Great story, same great characters what more do you want?
As always Khristine Hvam does a great job.
I don't usually like wives and kids in series like this but Whether and Letty are okay. I liked the back and forth between the surgery and the robbery. LOL when Whether tried to run the guy down after he tried to kill her. That's probably why I like her.
Good story. Ferrone isn't outstanding with accents but I can live with it because he does Lucas and his people so well.
These books have a good plot and Renko is a great character even if he's about as sardonic as it gets. I'm looking forward to him being back in Moscow.....or somewhere warmer.
I laugh at Lucas dealing with the women in his life. The only people who can get him over a barrel. The rest of it was the usual good stuff.
Great narration as usual.
I love these books.
Loved every minute.
Can't imagine reading one of these when it's much better to listen to Richard Ferrone!
Good characters in a great world with a interesting plot. I always look forward to Bishop's books.
