audible, you rock!! I purchased this book knowing it was read by eoin reitel it was okay but I was like everyone else by being spoiled by the most excellent narration by nathaniel parker.
now all my characters speak the way my mind sees them again...and...I requested that audible make the change, your customer service rocks, there were a few brambles (some caused by me amazingly enough), however I am currently listening to the book once again...I feel warm and fuzzy, foley the centaur has his rather thick cockney accent once again, the world is turning in the right direction...my daughter will also love this too and she will just love listening to this over and over again just like all the other versions.
This was a fine story, we (my daughter and I) just love this series and we are simply giddy with excitement for book #7 to make it to your library.

Artemis Fowl books have been in our family for over 10 years now. My thirteen year old, and last of the brood, got an Ipod for Christmas last year, needless to say the Artemis series plays almost non stop on her device, she sleeps to it, and dreams to it. This is a perfect series for that hard to buy for tween in your family. When I got MY Ipod I decided to listen to the series, I have enjoyed every one of them myself. Even when you get past the enviro-preachyness of certain parts of these books, the series is delightful. Get it for your kids then enjoy them for yourself. You won't be sorry.

I listened to this story at work, and let my 12 year old daughter listen too. There is enough there for the grown-ups to not be bored and no yuck (cussing, sex...etc) for the kid...I am getting the other books in this series, thanks Audible!! <3 <3
