I have been collecting Dragonlance novels from the time they first came out in 1980's, fantastic stores, I have event read them to my son when he was little. However, I was disappointed in the narrator Ax Norman. He struck me as plain and boring. He did little to bring the characters to life, by changing voices or tone. If you listen to the original audio cassette tapes, each character came with a differences in voice and tone. Sadly not so for Ax Norman. Roy Dotrice would have been a better choice. Otherwise fantastic sires.
I purchased the Shannara Series. Now I wish, I had not. I got to the point I was skipping chapters and felt I had not missed anything of any importance’s in the book. I have never done that in the several hundred audible books I have.
The narrator did a fine job. The story just seem to drag on and on and on.
The story drags on and on, over boring drama. By the 12th chapter, I just wanted the book to end.
