Would you consider the audio edition of Night Broken to be better than the print version?

Yes because the narrator is amazing!

    Any additional comments?

I like the addition of a brother for Mercy and seeing some growth within the pact. I can't wait for the next book!

The second book in Melissa de la Cruz's best-selling Blue Bloods series, Masquerade is also an ALA Quick Pick. Young vampires are dying under mysterious circumstances, and Schuyler Van Alen wants to know why. So she and her best friend Oliver head to Venice to find the one person who might be able to help - Schuyler's grandfather. But while she and Oliver investigate, preparation in New York is well underway for the ritzy Four Hundred Ball, a vampire gala that hides a startling secret.

    "Good story... Awful narrator"
    Overall

I read the first book in this series and got the second one to listen to on a road trip. I enjoyed the story, but the narrator was horrible. Several of the female characters sound like men or like they have been heavy smokers for many years ~ these are teenage girls! One character, Bliss, goes in and out of a what the narrator feels passes for a Texas accent from word to word. I would only listen to one of these books again if it had another narrator. Otherwise I will stick with plain old reading...

  • Lady Killer

Mary DiNunzio is a trademark Lisa Scottoline heroine - she's strong, she's smart, and she's got plenty of attitude. In recent years, she's become a big-time business-getter at Rosato & Associates, but the last person she expects to walk into her office one morning - in mile-high stilettos - is super sexy Trish Gambone, her high school rival.

    "Good Story BUT...."
    Overall

I enjoyed this book even if some of the parts were a bit of a stretch. The one thing that I did not not enjoy was the narrator. I know they were trying to give the appropriate accent to go with the story, but they ended up sounding like they smoked 2+ packs a day. It was distracting the entire book to have the lead female character in her 30s sound so horrible. I would not get anything this person narrates again.
