"Most Excellent"
Part Ghost, Part Angel/Demon should Armaggedon occour or not...in a British light humor, it was my bedtime story , and I could not wait for each night , a wonderfullly narated story.
I give it 5 stars of of 5 stars !
"Fully Enticing from Begining to End."
I was a big fan of the 'Old' Stephen King when he was pure. I had read this as a Teen. It was always one of my favorite books. Later as I got to be Audible based, I kept looking for it over 5 years until, finally the Audible Version came out!
This story is solidly based on the main characters, he weaves their story's of a Pregnant Teen, A lonely teen ager, Good Old Boy Texans and Dark Women, Men gone bad in Prision and the Devil Incarnate
Good vs Evil, the ultimate story. This book weaved the tale back and forth like a fine tapestry, the ulitmate storyline that kept me up late listening this book. It was one I couldn't leave.
So just hope you don't have 'Trashcan Man' in your area, much less a guy in Jean Jacket, leather boots and a black amulet.
Few master such a grand tale over the long run of this very long book. To me this is and will always be Stephen Kings masterpiece!
Good vs Evil ..who wins comes down to the last second of the book.
I had high expectations on this book. As any audible owner knows the Reader can make or break it. Grover Gardner pulled it off perfectly.
To many to list, but I am a sucker for a good ending. This one has some very sad moments in it, but any good story does!
Finally Stephen King....what took you so long to release this book to Audible!
"It just kept on going..Action, Plot Thickens etc.."
I never read the book, but I think the Audio has to be better
A truly great story. You think ..What is 5 people in an Apartment about...Trust me on this, the levels of this book amazed me. They just kept going. It kept me glued.
Nate and Zeela.
I could have. I made the mistake of listening to this before I go to sleep..ha...the story kept going and kept me up late at night.
Probably one of the best overall stories I have listened to in a long time. I was sad when it ended, that is a mark of a great book right!
"Great Adventure read based on a True Story"
Yes, it keeps you anticipating the next moves.
Not anyone character, they were all played out equally well.
The Lost Treasure of the Water Pit.
A rare find, I am so glad I picked this up! The Narration is great, a love story and a happy ending (of sorts)
"Fast Action, well Played, great Narration..."
Upon another great review and as a fellow 'Zombie' genre lover, I bought this book not expecting much. But as I listened more and more it draws you in. Fast paced, realistic and gritty. My only 'ummm' was the ending...but then that is what we all look for ...closure. Lets just say the book was very well done and I am glad I bought this audio book. And now..sigh...the hunt for yet another good book!
"As a Native Texan, I found this a great read"
Historical and Accurate.
I don't live in Texas now, but ah the memories it brought back and ones I never knew. Did you know that during the Great Depression, the East Texas Oil Fields were booming and work was plentiful.
Thsi goes over the nail biting deals, debt and fortunes made during this days. A very exciting historical book. I highly recommend it.
"Good Story, Ok Zombie Story, but still Great!"
This was a sleeper hit, I didn't expect it to be this good.
From 'Breathers' I went to this one, and was pleasantly suprised. The storyline kept me going till the end! Very well done.
Who needs Vampires, Zombies you can kill guilt free !
"Good to know information"
As much as I don't like to admit the time and energy I have put into re-calibrating my inner self to date better, I have. I would put this one in my Top 10. There are signals women give men, subtle, in a blink of an eye.
So this one gives you the base ones, and you need to learn them.
Face it, a woman never comes up and goes "I like you, lets talk", she does it very subliminally. Guys, Buy it, you need it. Women, be less hidden, and a bit more daring!
"Stephen Kings Best"
I was waiting forever for this one to come to Audible. Finally !
I like stories that let the characters develop, major plots within plots, this one does it all. The storyline goes back and forth over the time period of the characters, suspense is everywhere, evil in the most base of things: Anything that scared you as a kid, that is how the evil presents itself. A Classic Nightmare written with solid skill.
"A Solid Story"
As a rule I am not a Dean Koontz fan, but this was was very well done.
A great story, longer, well developed, he let this one develop the characters.
I read this after 'Tic Tock' which was great, and the story line is pretty much in the same vein; A cute couple faces evil and a wicked inner story develops.
Exciting, the story keeps on going and going! A clincher to the end.
"Core Knowledge for Social Networking"
Amazingly well done. Inspiring to say the least.
6 months later, after being new in a new town and a new high end position, after using his principals, I can say it was a solid success.
It opened my eyes to 'Networking' Not just for business to get sales, but for friends, contacts etc. This has turned me slowly into a Super Connector and the power when you connect people is truly amazing. Now my Social Calendar is full, to full in fact. New friends are accumlating and I am reaching out to help others with this very book.
This and Dale Carnegies 9 Principals puts you on a solid core.
I also reccommend Psycho-Cybernetics.. with these 3 you are in control of YOUR LIFE !
50% soild facts and techniques, 50% Spiritual on living a life for others, it strikes the right balance.
