The author paints a microcosmic view of soviet life in the latter part of the twentieth century.
A great mystery in a great setting.
This anthology of mystery writers hits the mark if you are a 7th grade English teacher and like the things your students come up with: simple, non-sensical, discordant, and BORING. If this is an example of Swedish creative writing, I will stick with the Norwegians.
This is a classic example of a well thought out, interesting, plausible, and delightfully fun read. The character development made me really get into the skin of the people I met. The narrator enhanced the journey.
Baldacci, who usually writes great books, wrote a book this time that wanders endlessly and should have ended 50 chapters before it did. I was disappointed with what we in the military call the lack of the 7 P's: Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. The narration, however, was excellent.
It hurt to hear the reader destroy these ancient, wonderful stories. She murdered them.
A great essay on what it means to be shot at and to shoot back. My only complaint was that it tended to be a bit long, but it was a great read. I would like to meet the author and shake his hand.
I have loved all of the previous Bloody Jack books. This one, however, was sophomorically predictable.
Katherine Kellgren sounded like she was reading while awaiting a late supper - like she just want to get through quickly so she she could move on.
I was disappointed.
The author has woven a wonderfully exciting story into the excitement of hurricane Katrina.
Don't miss it!!
This book is almost like being there. The prelude to the battle - which is, of course, fiction - is wonderful. Great read.
A great, exciting read! A MUST read for anyone who thinks they might want to be a Seal. A nice peak into the mind of patriotic youth.
This book should have been a seven star except that the author allowed too much meandering of the mind of the main character in dealing with his current life. that part did not relate to the story. The story itself was SUPER. Flaws and all. A good read.
