This was a great book with great characters. Carl seemed to have included every type of character immaginable in this book and tie them all together. One of the best books I've listened to on Audible. If you like the character Nick Stranahan, check out Skinny Dip also.
I really felt for Max. This was a tear jerker. Impossible to stop listening to!
Ok, the bigging while in India was kinda boring. I thought I couldn't make it through the book. Once the journey begins, it is totally compelling! I found myself driving slower, taking long routes home, just to keep listening. If I were to change anything, I would ditch the beginning and include information about Pi's present life.
After completing the book, I have to admit it was very captivating. My biggest complaint, as it seems several other reviewer's feel the same, was what could have happened in the book didn't. Why didn't he attempt to change the outcome of the end, knowing it was coming? He talks about the cardinal law of not changing destiny, though he does buy a lottery ticket knowing the outcome! It is a great love story, and it takes a little time to realize where you are and what the date is. All in all, I will probably relisten to the book to pickup on parts that initially confused me.
This was a pretty good book, though in my opinion not up to the par as The Davinci Code was. Predictable storyline, unbeleivable moments.
This was a great book. Very intriguing with great information. Loved the detailed historic information. Only downside was that the last hour kinda dragged and seemed senseless.
