"Another funny, quirky story by Molly Harper"
As usual, Molly Harper incorporates so many pithy comments and observations in one line after another.. It takes a second listen to follow her bouncing words of satire and wit once they are set in motion..
The main character, Miranda, has that perfect blend of pessimistic optimism. She looks forward to better times, but learns to cope with the disastrous detours along the way.
Amanda Ronconi is the best at potraying modern, intelligent, flawed and funny women. She has a great sense of timing, especially as characters interact and respond to each other's peculiarities.
The book was simply hilarious. It made me laugh and cringe all at the same time. It leaves you waiting to find out what else could go wrong and still hoping that nothing does..
I hope there is a sequel to this book. I would like to see how the main characters Miranda and Colin develop and how they interact wtih the other folks in Half Moon Hollow. I wish that there were a bit more tension between these two characters and more explanation of Colin's attraction to Miranda. The ending seemed to rush their relationship too much given their clear differences.
