    Story

I really really loved this book, and I listened to it in about a day and half--I literally couldn't and didn't want to do anything else, I was captivated. I purchased the second book "A Hunger So Wild" first before realizing Touch of Crimson preceded it--not sure how I missed that this was a series--but, even knowing what the outcome would be didn't spoil this first book in the series. Great storyline, great characters, the narrator was perfect for these characters, and the main character Adrian was intoxicating just as Sylvia Day is so adept at conveying in all the books I've listened to by her. This book is about 'other worldly' beings that are trying to fulfill their earthly missions, but of course it gets all mucked up with betrayals, people having to pay for their 'sins', wrongful murders, and as always ultimately being overtaken by love, etc. Just my kind of book! Credit worthy or just buy it outright. Another awesome one by Sylvia Day, can't wait for the third installment.

This series continues to pleasantly surprise me. Dream of You was hot, romantic and really funny. Lola and Sam are my favorite characters so far, their love story was made even better with the addition of Sam's daughter Madison. The stories in this series are short and sweet, so things move along pretty quickly, plus the price is right--definitely a bargain! It's the perfect mini-escape where an HEA is pretty much guaranteed. I love it!

Even one of the worst characters of the Cyborg series so far...Blackie...deserves love. I cringed at his name back in some of the first books of the series where he's introduced, and cringed even more at how he was with women and his overall mean attitude. I couldn't believe he would have a story of his own! I certainly wasn't interested, but, I knew that Laurann Dohner would have to come up with someone really special with the capacity to love even the coldest and cruelest of Cyborgs, and that could only be the love that man's best friend can give you! Eve, a canine/human, meets Blackie as a prisoner before the Cyborgs free themselves, and totally bonds with him. Fast-forward to present day, and the two reconnect, opening a whole new world for Blackie--one that includes humility, decency, emotion, and understanding. It's awesome that even in an erotic romance novel there's a moral to the story!

These Cyborg stories are very much 'on the nose', and that's one of the things I love about the series. The misunderstandings between the characters have me in stitches, and the love scenes have me panting! Blackie and Eve fall head over heels HARD for each other, and although I kind of hated him in some of the previous stories he's appeared in, this book redeems him completely. If you're a fan of fantasy and paranormal erotic romance, the Cyborg series should be in your library for sure. Keep 'em coming Laurann!

Leaving Hannah was the biggest mistake of Marco's life - something he has deeply regretted for years. So when fate reunites them, he refuses to let her go without a fight. Determined to make her his, Marco pursues Hannah, reminding her of all the reasons they're meant to be together. But just when Marco thinks they're committed to a future together, Hannah makes a discovery that unearths the secret pain she's been hiding from him - a secret that could tear them apart before they have a real chance to start over again.

On Dublin Street is one of my favorite favorite series, and it pains me when I'm not 'over the moon' about one of the books, but, sadly this is one of those times. To be fair, India Place WAS good, it really was, however, I think the narration left a little to be desired--specifically, with Marco's character. Also, some aspects of the story, or maybe it was solely the narration, were overdramatized for my tastes, which is atypical for this series. Every book prior to this one has been pretty spot on.

This was a sweet coming of age romance, that, as per usual, had some very intense situations interspersed throughout the story. Hannah finally gets her Marco, and boy do they have a landfill of emotions and baggage to sift through before they find their HEA. It was nice that the entire Dublin St. gang has a cameo and it was nice to 'catch up' with the happy couples. I hope that there will be a 6th book, and even more from this series. Despite feeling rather neutral about this story in particular, I highly recommend the series---it's a credit well spent, and overall, the stories are great and will be repeat listens for sure!

Something about this series keeps my interest, but, I'm not exactly sure! :-) I am not the biggest fan of the narrator, but she seems to get stellar reviews; I suppose its like eating asparagus or sushi---it's definitely an acquired taste. This 5th installment was one of the funnier stories, which was unexpected, because goofy Blayne didn't make a big impression on me in the previous book so I was unsure about her story. I was pleasantly surprised though; her man, Bo or 'BOLD', was the scene winner from beginning to end, he was a great big ole bad attitude polar lion hybrid, and the two of them together were pretty darn hilarious. As they took on the bear country in an effort to keep Blayne safe from hybrid hunters, the hijinks were in full effect. Despite the so-so narration, this series is like paranormal romantic slap-stick comedy that will entertain you while making you melt just a little at the sweetness of it all.

Playing house was never so much fun - or so confusing. With her boss on an extended honeymoon, Caroline’s working crazy-long hours to keep the interior design company running - especially since she’s also the lead designer for the renovation of a gorgeous old hotel. And with Simon, her hotshot photographer boyfriend, gallivanting all over the world for his job, the couple is heavy-duty into "absence makes the heart grow fonder" mode. No complaints about the great reunion sex, though!

For those of you that enjoy your romance with a side of shtick and a pinch of predictable, Alice Clayton is the author for you. After Wallbanger, I wasn't sure where things could go with Simon & Caroline, but, I liked the direction of their journey in this second book. The narration was a bit of a distraction as usual--breathy at times and completely overacted in other moments; however, it's the writing--that sass, humor, and superbly written 'smex' that will make me purchase any other book in this series without question.

On Dublin Street was my introduction to Samantha Young and the crew of Americans and Scots that made me want to pack my bags and head to Edinburgh! Although I'm 5 books deep in this series, I adore Joss & Braden, so it didn't matter to me that I was listening completely out of sequence!

Joss and Braden's novella was exactly what I expected--funny, romantic, hot & sexy, and the 'more' that you longed for at the end of Dublin St. I'd purchase this one outright as opposed to a credit, but any of the books within the series are definitely credit worthy.

This was such an awesome book! Everything about the BDB makes me want to sit back and listen for hours, just one book after the other. The King was just what I expected and then some. I listened in practically one sitting, because I'm totally hooked on everything about Wrath, the brotherhood, the shellan's, you name it, I'm obsessed with all things BDB! The subplots in the King seem to be an indication of potential spin-offs, and I really hope that's the case because there's a plethora of characters that were just as interesting as the brotherhood. Overall, this is one of my favorite series, from narration, to the characters, to the fact that this is the only series that I could literally start listening to again from book 1. Absolute perfection!

Demon from the Dark was quite possibly one of the most erotically delicious and romantic stories in the IAD series from Cole. Malkolm was like a walking hormone waiting to slake his passion for Carrow from the moment he saw her, and it just got hotter and hotter from there. I loved every minute! The hotness of this story was just the icing on the cake, because you will fall in love with these character's hearts and determination to get through the dark parts of life, guaranteed. If you're already a fan of this series you know that all the stories are leading to something really big; some of what's revealed in this story and the more recent books, gives you a bird's eye view, and I can't wait. If you're new to KC and the IAD series, your time and credit will never be wasted!

This book was total escapism at it's best---a random fantastic hook up that turns out to be the love of your life? And let's not forget the absolute most delicious part of it all--he's French! I was totally into Ansel's sweet filthy sexiness from word 1!

Christina Lauren has done it again, creating a cast of characters that you would love to know, and can't wait to enjoy their journey to happily ever after. The one minor drawback was the narration. I have to give the narrator 'props' on the French accent, but, I'm pretty sure she's had a career in spoken-word. Every word (except the beautiful French) sounded like she was reciting poetry for an open mic session, and unless I'm attending an open mic session, I prefer a different 'flow'.

Despite the poetic-flow of the narrator, the overall story, the hot sex, and the jaw-dropping reveal at the end of the story has me ready for book 2 in this series. Highly recommended for all the spontaneous romantics out there!

Really good Reapers MC Club romance! After books 1 & 2, I was sold on Joanna Wylde. Devil's Game is not as edgy as the preceding books, but overall it was well worth my time. My only complaint is that I wasn't a huge fan of the male narrator, something about him was far too dramatic for my tastes, other than that, it was your standard motorcycle romance--harsh language, no hearts and flowers for the 'old ladies' just some rough and tumble loving--but there was nothing standard about the loving part of the book! As Em and Hunter face the consequences of choosing their newfound love over the club, their connection is electric, and the spark between them will make you smolder! Hunter was super sexy when he was introduced in book 2, so I was primed for a book centered on him.

In the realm of biker romance series, Reaper's MC is a true contender for your credit!
