The story drags out too long with so many side and unimportant details. I quit after the third part.
I would rate this book 6 stars if I could. My wife got angry at me for sneaking short listens while she was around rather than give her my attention. Great mystery.
Usually Koontz keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I was very disappointed with the way this book ended, but won't spoil it for anyone else.
It is just amazing how Clancy's description of the war in Ukraine matches what really is happening.
I've been to Israel three times and have read many histories of Israel. Shavit makes the whole history very personal by showing how the history affected individuals along the way.
I'm already three hours into this book and Harry Hole has not yet appeared. Actually, I got so bored with this book that I went to other books.
I've read many other Reacher books and this one I just finished after being used to all of the mayhem caused by Reacher.
I guessed the plot early on and everything fell into place. But there wasn't one fist landed by Reacher. He usually takes on crowds of two to six large thugs with nothing other than his fists and arms. Here he used tools, implements and guns. I was expecting more.
Dick Hill's performance was, as always, perfect.
Rosenberg leads us into the story from the first book in the series and one wants to go on to see where it leads. But when he gets to the third book, he then tries to convert the reader into accepting Christ and shows in his book both Jews and Muslems who have done so and thus are "saved" in the final days.
I won't read anything else he has written.
I never read any of Rowling's previous books but thought I would read this one as it was written for adults. It is very rare that I read a book and end up not liking any of the characters. But I finished the book just to find out what was going to happen to some of the kids. I don't think I'll read another of Rowling's books.
This book was so boring that I couldn't finish it. The purchase was a waste of time.
The author was content to put clever dialog into 99% of the story. There was almost no action, just bickering between the major characters. I kept waiting for some action, but nothing very much happened.
The narrator was excellent and used great accents and voices to fit the characters.
