Yes, this was a great book. It was engrossing, kept me wanting to hear more. It was such a tragic story that kept you needing to hear the outcome of the man accused of the atrocious murder.
The plot definitely kept me on the edge of my seat; the accused seems to be quite crafty in regards to getting away with everything.
No, I have not but I look forward to such.
It was a bit better to hear this story rather than read it. I had read it when it first came out and now a couple years later have heard it being read and the voices bring more life to the characters.
Belle was my favorite character. It was interesting to me to try and understand how she was given the option of freedom even so early into the story yet she kept doing what she could to stay with her family as a slave. It showed alot about her and her love and beliefs.
The depiction of their voices forthe characters was great. The way they read made the story come to life in a ay reading it yourself would not have done.
The entire book in itself told a story of love, beliefs and hope beyond reasoning. There was no one particular part better than the rest.
