I chose this novel because it was an Oprah pick, and it was unabridged (can't stand abridged versions and won't buy). I do have to say that this is a "Chick" novel, but having read other Oprah picks, I took a chance.
I would recommend this for women listeners, and of course men who like a good plot. There is not a lot of action, but the strong foreshadowing by the author lends itself to the listening.
Give it a chance, you won't be sorry.

The month of December passed quickly as I lived this novel. I found myself sitting in my car to listen just a little bit more. I spent a lot of time driving in December which made this a great choice for my travel time.
Although the number of discs required to burn this for listening is formidible, it is worth the time and investment. You should enjoy this. I am actually going to listen again as the plot is so complicated that I can get more the second time around.

I have read every Dean Koontz novel to date so I am a big fan. This novel is no dissapointment, his writing and plot development just get better. He vividly describes what is happening in the story, and the listener will easily share his visions. This is a must have for you audio collection.

This is a great choice for those who like complex plots with realistic characters although the start is slow. After the first CD you are hooked.
