North San Diego County...a gifted pianist...a beautiful violinist...a multi million-dollar land deal. Here is a Audio Movie story of intrigue, mystery, and murder in the comic-noir tradition. What is an Audio Movie? It's an image-rich listening experience - a combination of narration, full-cast dialogue, music, and layered sound design created specifically for audio. Call it cinema for the mind.

    Twyla says: "Not very good"
"Audio books should not be performed but read!"
    Overall

Listening to this book resembled listening to a TV or radio program which I found totally distracting. I did not enjoy it. I much prefer to be read to.

In this hot and steamy mystery, Tennyson is an actor struggling to hang on to his career and redeem his sex-for-pay history, which estranged him from his family, especially his father, a decorated LAPD captain who raised Tennyson to call him "Sir". Now, in the wake of his father's sudden stroke, Tennyson has to save himself from taking the fall for a murder. In the process, he discovers his hidden talents - the hard way.

James Gordon says: "What's The Beef?"
"Sexual references get in the way of the plot"
    Overall

I missed much of this book because I found the sexual references unpleasant and skipped past them. The author writes well and the reader has an excellent voice.

Northern New Jersey has a new local hero on its cultural crime turf. He's Andy Carpenter, the Paterson defense attorney who can sling a quip as fast as he can outmaneuver a snarling prosecutor. Acclaimed author David Rosenfelt's first novel was nominated for an Edgar Award. Now, in this new novel, the intrepid lawyer is thrust into the spotlight where he risks becoming a media victim...of the most fatal kind.

    Rajesh says: "Thoroughly enjoyable"
    "David Rosenfelt is Clever"
    Overall

Bury the Lead is a clever well written book. I would listen again.
