"William Paul Young Does it So Well"
Hope. Redemption. Joy
It follows on the idea of the Shack. It has a bit of the elsewhereness of The Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia.
Young developed the character of Maggie most completely. He was able to tell the story from her point of view so well. She got an assignment (from God) and she carried it out.
Young's style is emotionally evocative. I laughed, I CRIED! I enjoyed.
Young does many remarkable things in this enjoyable book. He clarifies some hard to understand ideas in Christian doctrine. He makes it possible for hurting souls to open to God. He does an amazing job of presenting the inner world of a child with Down's Syndrome. Every reader with an imagination, a liking for the spiritual side of life and a sense that more might be happening when a person i sin a coma will find this a great read or listen. Mueller does a credible job reading the story. His vocalizations add to the flow.
