    I recommend highly to anyone who values an exquisite tragedy. This is a remarkable story about what war does to the human heart.

    The language, the openness of Hana, the desert.


    What about Ralph Fiennes’s performance did you like?

    His voice is rich and delicious with a worldly quality that serves Ondaatje's prose well.

    Yes, too good to step away from.

    I only wish it was the full text! Too brief, missing some of the beauty.
