Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

What a wonderful writer!!! I've listened to all 3 of these books and loved them. They're funny, exciting, and just enough romance (sex) to be sparky not smutty. I wish I could find more books like Molly Harper's, I love adult fiction but I'm getting tired of page after page of sex and all so full of drama. I needed A good laugh and the quick wit of these books gave me more laughter than I've gotten from books in a long time. The reader was fantastic, I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi

As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

I've tried to listen over and over but I can't tolerate the narrator, especially when he is doing female voices. I've recommended this series to a lot of people and most have the same opinion. I have 3 of the series but couldn't get past the first instead I'm watching them on HBO. Sorry Roy Dotrice you probably do very well in other series but this one not for me.

Acclaimed author Michael J. Sullivan created instant best sellers with his spellbinding Riyria Revelations series. This first volume introduces Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater, two enterprising thieves who end up running for their lives when they’re framed for the death of the king. Trapped in a conspiracy bigger than they can imagine, their only hope is unraveling an ancient mystery - before it’s too late.

I had a wonderful time listening to this series. I picked up #1 on a sale and couldn't wait to get the rest. I love it when a author can combine great action with wit, we all can use some laughter in our day. I hope Mr. Sullivan will continue these books, I will watch for them. In the mean time here are some other authors I love with witty dialog that kept me entertained throughout, Rhys Bowen, Gail Carriger, Gemma Halliday, Molly Harper, Kim Harrison, Beth Hoffman, Lisa Kleypas (Wallflowers), Katie MacAlister, Elizabeth Peters, Jonathan Stroud (Bartimaeus). Any one of these authors will make you at least smile if not down right gut rolling laughter, happy listening.

Sometimes I will zone out or fast forward in a book if it has pages of descriptive writing or sex to get on with the story but this series kept me listening to every page, I loved everything in them. There isn't much laughter but love and compassion galore. Some people complained about the third book but take my word it's just as good as the rest, I highly recommend this series. I haven't read the second trilogy but I expect them to be just as good and I am looking forward to the adventure they hold for me. The narrators are excellent, the story fantastic, I can't understand why it hasn't had more reviews. So here is mine, if you like stories with the love of family and compassion for tradition you'll get these books they have it all, plus it's based in Ireland so there's a little magic mixed in, fun fun fun!

I like the fact that each book has an end.You can read other books while waiting for the next book without feeling you're still in the middle of a series. She has everything I want in a good book, adventure, romance, laughter in some but always great. The narrator is excellent he is very good with female voices and his accent is to die for. Monica is on my watch list and will be on yours too if you start listening.

Great series if you can wait for the all the books, but # 13 coming out with all the rest missing isn't smart on audibles part. I'll wait for the rest to come in I hope they do it soon, here's the list in order in case you want to get the paper back.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Tthe narrator is not right for these books should have used Robert Petkoff. The male voice doesn't fit the character, his voice should be much more sexy.

What other book might you compare Scent of Darkness to and why?

Same kind of story line for most fantasy romance. I like the fact that it had good sex scenes that didn't go on forever and the story has a good plot.

What didn’t you like about Richard Ferrone’s performance?

I've listened to him before but for these books he's not the right choice.

    Any additional comments?

The way this book ends it feels like it was two books cut in half. I think sometimes they do that to make more off the sales, instead of one long book like Diana Gabaldon's the book is separated and it doesn't make sense in the ending. This series would do better if they sold the books in bundles, then people might ignore the bad narration and spend a credit for the story. All in All I like the story line so far. This is the first Christina Dodd books I've listened to and I'd like to finish the series but I'm having a hard spending the credit.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I loved the whole series but the ending to this book is horrible, because of this I'm not sure I would.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    All the characters are good.

What about Jennifer Van Dyck’s performance did you like?

I love her and have a lot of books done by her.

Could you see Shadow Heir being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Not with this ending

    Any additional comments?

Richelle Mead needs to do one more book to this series and end it much better. As you can see by all the comments people don't like bad endings. It would behoove authors to look at what their readers have written for the sake of future sales.

Would you listen to Dark Needs at Night's Edge again? Why?

Yes the books are hot with a good plot. They have just enough sex, not overwhelming, or so long that after a while you skip through them because it's always the same sex scene over and over. The Narrator is yummy, the books about werewolf's with Scottish brogue are mind blowing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All are great, I can't single one out.

What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice and emotion are unbeatable!!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Wanted to but had to work so it took 3 days. I want the rest of the series, I hate waiting for books when they are so good.

    Any additional comments?

So far all the book in this series are great, the narrator is hot and I want more. I've listened to many books in this genre and a lot of the time the author gets to caught up in the sex scenes and not enough in the story. These books have the right amount of both with a good plot. I would love to hear more of the Scottish brogue in future books. All in all love them!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes they are wonderful books. I'm having a hard time finding another book to listen to that is as entertaining .

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters are important in these books.

What about Annika Boras’s performance did you like?

She is one of the best I've listened to and I've been a member for years and gone through a lot of books. When I find a reader I like I look for books they have done, I choose what I read for the narrator as much as the author. I will be looking for her along with my other favorite narrators she made these books irresistible.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were times I got frustrated. I always have a hard time with the not telling feelings between people in books so many mistakes are made due to lack of communication. I have to remind myself that the book is about young people and that's par for the course with the young. All in all these books gave me everything I love in a book, and I will recommend them to all my friends.

    Any additional comments?

I want to thank Colleen Houck for her writing and Annika Boras for giving me such a wonderful time listening to all the books. Please keep going I will be waiting for both of you to do more in Audible.
