Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared.....

Without a doubt this book rocked my world! I have never been so taken away by a story and to think that it's a true story really blew me away. If you read a book ever, read this one. Louie Zamperini's story will inspire you and tear your heart out. It's more than a story, it's history and facts of World War II. As a woman, I didn't think I would ever be interested in a war story but Louie's story is one that every American should read regardless of their age. Read it before you see the movie. There's too many facts and side stories that a movie could not include. READ THIS BOOK!

This book so touched my life. Don't miss this one folks. You will be challenged to wake up and be conscience, then determined to stomp out discrimination and hate like never before. I fell in love with Ilibagiza by the end of the story and thank the Lord she had the courage to go back and relive her horror and loss to help and educate the world against the tragedy of hate, war, prejudice and genocide.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and once I started listening I had to pry myself away. The story compelled me to really ponder on the principles that are taught through the struggles of Sarah. When the story ended, I felt that I was a better person. I also recommend "Redemming Love". It is a story you won't soon forget.

  • A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, and Faith in Stages

In this frank and funny memoir, the Tony Award-winning star of stage and screen shares her journey from small-town Oklahoma to big-time Broadway, vamping on what it takes to stand firmly on a foundation of family and faith while wearing a hot pair of Jimmy Choo platform sling-backs.

    D. Radtke says: "Love her!"
    "Kristin - you're a spit fire delight!!"
    Overall

Didn't really know a lot about Kristin Chenoweth before listening to this book, but I am now a hooked, die hard fan. What fun I have had listening to her while driving to work. I've found myself laughing and totally spellbound by her effervescent, vivatious, riotous and spunky personality. No one can quite tell a story like you, Kristin. I LOVE the added singing, sound effects and inserts by Denny and Aaron. Only drawback was that it had to end. KRISTIN: WRITE SOMETHING ELSE, ANYTHING!!! I'll buy it!
Going to buy your music now so I can hear some more of that wonderful voice!!!
