The artifact is found seven miles below the surface of the sea and beneath 40 more feet of sand. The Navy's efforts to raise a wrecked submarine uncover it - and set in motion a scientific race to retrieve it, to discover just what it is and where it came from. Denser than any substance known to man, it has broken every drill bit they've tried on it and will not budge an inch. It resists every effort to breach it - or communicate with it.

What did you love best about Camouflage?

I like how the story was written... it did jump around a little more than your typical sci-fi book, but nothing to bad and actually made the story a bit better to listen to. Towards the end you kind of figure out how it is going to end though. Which for me was a bit of a let down.

What other book might you compare Camouflage to and why?

I really can't think of a different book to compare this to... it's kind of got it's own flavor that you really can't quite figure out.

Have you listened to any of Eric Michael Summerer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really... but it takes quite a lot for me to want to listen to a book all in one sitting.

Roland Deschain and his ka-tet are bearing southeast through the forests of Mid-World, the almost timeless landscape that seems to stretch from the wreckage of civility that defined Roland's youth to the crimson chaos that seems the future's only promise. Followers of Stephen King's epic series know Roland well, or as well as this enigmatic hero can be known. They also know the companions who have been drawn to his quest for the Dark Tower: Eddie Dean and his wife, Susannah; Jake Chambers; and Oy.

This is a great example as to why I love Stephen King!!! The only reason why I marked the book down a bit is because I felt the ending was a little off.

The next-to-last novel in Stephen King's seven-volume magnum opus, Song of Susannah is a fascinating key to the unfolding mystery of the Dark Tower.

    "Decent but lacking"
    Overall

I have listened to all the books up to this one, and felt so compelled to get it just to see what happened next. But I think that I could have lived with out some parts of this book. Also, I find it to be a little short compared with the last ones... maybe that is why I felt this book was lacking something that I just can't quite put my finger on. Still all in all a good book to listen to, even if it's a little anticlimactic.
