Would you listen to Life After Death again? Why?

Absolutely! It was so powerful and uplifting.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that he read it. It felt like you were sitting down next to him while he told you an unbelievable story.

Have you listened to any of Damien Echols’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but if he has more I definitely will.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Just like the book. LIfe after Death. I did like his idea of a mini-series because there is so much to tell a movie would not do it justice.

Years ago, the day before Ellie moved from Georgia to California, she and her best friend, Nolan, sat beneath the Spanish moss of an ancient oak tree where they wrote letters to each other, and sealed them in a rusty old metal box. The plan was to return 11 years later and read them. But now, as that date arrives, much has changed. Ellie, bereft of the faith she grew up with, is a single mom living in a tired apartment trying to make ends meet. Sometimes she watches television to catch a glimpse of her old friend - Nolan, now an NBA star, whose terrible personal tragedies fueled his faith and athletic drive in equal measure.

Where does The Chance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was definitely one of my favorites if not my favortie.

What other book might you compare The Chance to and why?

I can't think of one off the top of my head, but this was one of my new favorites. I love the story of love, God, and how things can truly work out for the better with faith. I had a hard time turning it off and was sad when it ended.

Have you listened to any of January LaVoy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is great! She is probably my new favorite narrator. I loved the way she read the story and it made me feel like I was watching a movie.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    The same, "The Chance"

Highly Recommend if you are looking for a sweet love story with a great ending. Not dissapointed one bit.

Where does Safe Haven rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved it. It was high on my list.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Katie or Erin! She was interesting and was just kind and sweet and looking for true love.

What about Rebecca Lowman’s performance did you like?

Her performance was ok. The male voice was not the best but ok.

If you could take any character from Safe Haven out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take Alex just because I find it interesting how people deal with death of a spouse at such a young age and how difficult it must have been.

    Any additional comments?

Great book and enjoyed the twist in it about her friend Jo!

Sean Barrett, the son of an influential, award-winning actor, is the hottest soap star in the country. Paired on-screen with the talented and beautiful Kayla Maxwell, Sean is determined to keep her at arm's length, burned before by fame-seeking actresses who had no qualms about using him to get to his famous father.

What did you love best about Love in the Afternoon?

It was a sweet and simple love story

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sean and Kayla were good. They both had issues with dating actors and overcame those.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes it did but the narration was a little cheesy. It mimicked a soap opera which it was narrating.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Not really!

Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.…

Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?
