If you are medical professional, you may enjoy this. I'm not, and did not make it past the first chapter. It's like the authors got paid to use the word narcism and narcissist as many times as they could. You'd think with a history in Buddhism, the author would have found a way to speak simply. I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but this was not written to communicate to the masses. I was constantly asking myself, what the hell is he talking about? This book is meant for print, so you can reread sentences, not an audible book.
I enjoyed the secular yet spiritual balance of this book. Had it's own spin on messages I've read from authors such as Tolle and Dyer. I listened to it twice and will return. Definitely a staple in my practice.
The narration is solid and feels like he's talking directly to you. The message is simply beautiful. Great polish for my meditation practice.
I almost feel bad that I downloaded this book for free. There's so many nuggets of good advice. I like how humble he is too. Just a warm, wise, and worthwhile listen. Beware, you'll want to buy another one of his books.
Such great stories and experiences that make Kornfield right up there with Tolle, Dyer, and Pema. Don't listen if you are drowsy and driving .... he's very soft spoken
Fascinating combination of science and consciousness. I still don't understand tapping though. :-)
Other than my wife occasionally getting annoyed with my "is that true" replies, this book has brought much peace.
Yes. I've quit caffeine, alcohol, sugar, and doing my second triathlon. I credit this book for the insight in changing my habits.
Will listen to this book for the rest of my Life
Power of Now by Tolle
Great stories to share with friends and family. Love telling some to my children. Found myself literally laughing out loud.
