The China Study offers conclusive evidence that a change of diet can dramatically reduce the risks of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. The book is based on the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted, a 20-year joint project between Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. The study surveyed the eating habits of 6,500 adults from all over China and Taiwan and found a direct correlation between diet and disease.

    Story
Where does The China Study rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I think it is a very informational book that provides the listener with information to improve their life if they choose to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The China Study?

When I heard all the evidence suggesting that dairy was such a contributor to breast cancer.

What about Stefan Rudnicki’s performance did you like?

I think he has a very distinct and entertaining voices. I listened to Enders Game and looked for other books he narrated.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole book is great. I am a heavy meat and dairy eater and the information provided definitely motivated me to reduce my consumption heavily, for my sake and my children's sake.

    Any additional comments?

The information provided in this book can be very shocking to some. Considering our dependency on meat and dairy. I am lactose intolerant, so giving up dairy was not hard. I would eat red meat and chicken on a daily basis, so hearing the statistics on how animal protein can be linked to various forms of cancer. Some may not agree with the information shared, but at least knowing the information so that you can choose to make a lifestyle change is up to the listener. What's the worse that could happen if you choose to reduce or eliminate animal protein from your diet?
