Not at all. Its actually a good story -really funny- but the narrator was like nails on a chalk board!
It was over done.
Just like every other book that Katie McGarry has written I feel in love... for a short period.
It's teeny but the teens are dealing with some real ish and it can be quite heartbreaking. If you like an easy quick read with lots of dialogue, overcoming, and coming of age (into adulthood) then you will love this book.
It's not something I stewed on for days but its a great ride while it last.
Bring them on Katie!
I don't need to tell you why you should read this story. It's such a classic I am sure you already know. I need to tell you why you should l i s t e n to this story. The narrater brings To Kill A Mocking Bird to life, and its pure magic. I have read this before but the slow southern heart and soul she brings to it made it an entirely new experience. A better experience.
This is a beautiful story... So what are you waiting for? Dive in and let Sissy Spacek weave this world into existence and get lost.
Thank you Amy Poehler for being who you are and simply sharing it with us.
LISTEN TO THIS BOOK immediately!
I promise you will not be disappointed. Yes Please is not just funny but insightful and sweet. This book is quirky and weird and Amy finds such unique and interesting ways to articulate the human experience.
I laughed out loud and almost cried a tear more then once. Again, thank you Amy for the beautiful sentiments and sometimes brutally hilarious honesty. I hope you write another book even though you hated writing this one :)
I fell in love with New York all over again... over and over again.
What a beautifully written history of one of the most fascinating cities in the world. I learned so much I didn't know about a place I have loved for so long. This is my first Edward Rutherfurd book and I cant wait to read/listen to e v e r y single o n e.
He brings to life.
This sad sorry excuse for an ending to the epic adventure that (was) this story makes me want to... what... cry? WHATEVER.
I can't even believe this was the same author.
eh... whatever. This series should have been two books, the first one and this one. There was literally no need for the crud in the middle.
I really shouldn't complain I am the one who picked up "The Bachelor-esc" dystopian for teenagers... whoops.
Perfect conclusion to an immaculate story. If you have come this far then you already know how beautiful and unbelievably creative Laini Taylor's writing is. No need to say anymore except this book will complete the story like few finales do in such a manor that you are left feeling whole and emptied out at the very same time.
We are The God Stars.
I really like these books but I don't love them does that make sense?
I can't pinpoint exactly why they just miss the love mark but they do. I really like these books because they are full of adventure, fear, excitement, love, and a seriously unique dystopian world. The end is great, and the writing is good.
If you like YA adventure // dystopians then definitely give this series a shot! If you have already read the pervious two then I think you will be happy with the conclusion.
Overall this series is a pretty good one. If you're looking for a distopian that is actually well written, not completely predictable (and GASP no love triangle, well not really) then I totally recommend this one.
I seem to be the only one who didn't love the ending. I don't know... June just got so self-sacrificing and melodramatic there towards the end. Other then being a little frustrated with our heroine this conclusion was a wild ride that I am so glad I got on.
So I stand alone in not "loving" the ending but I didn't and hate it and most days thats all a girl can really ask for.
I recommend this series to lovers of "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent" obviously..
just like these two did. I don't care that their relationship is a tiny bit ridiculous and just a smidgen unrealistic. I love Katie McGarry she has a way of writing a romance that really cuts pretty deep especially for a couple of 17 year olds.
I love that her characters are always so complex and miss-understood, and we are allowed a rare look into the heart of people who hide for a living. Every time I start one of her books I can't stop until I have devoured the whole thing.
Please tell me there will be more... and who will we hear from next Abby?!?!
A fast paced wild ride you will enjoy I promise.
