Lou Welcome, from Palmer's bestselling Oath of Office, is back in this heart stopping medical thriller. A desperate phone call embroils Lou in scandal and murder involving Dr. Gary McHugh, known around the Capital as the "society doc." Lou has been supervising McHugh, formerly a black-out drinker, through his work with the Physician Wellness Office. McHugh has been very cavalier about his recovery, barely attending AA and refusing a sponsor. But Lou sees progress, and the two men are becoming friends.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I might. It was just ok though, not great writing or storyline. The characters were a little juvenile or maybe underdeveloped.

What was most disappointing about Michael Palmer’s story?

    It was not very believable.

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but the reading was really good, better than the story itself

Was Political Suicide worth the listening time?

Better than listening to the radio, I drive an hour each way to work.

A walk down the aisle, a resort hotel, a drink on the beach...for these unlucky couples, the honeymoon's over. A newlywed couple steps into the sauna in their deluxe honeymoon suite - and never steps out again. When another couple is killed while boarding their honeymoon flight to Rome, it becomes clear that someone is targeting honeymooners, and it's anyone's guess which happy couple is next on the list. FBI Agent John O'Hara is deep into solving the case, while Special Agent Sarah Brubaker is hunting another ingenious serial killer, whose victims all have one chilling thing in common....

Would you try another book from James Patterson and Howard Roughan and/or Jay Snyder and Ellen Archer ?

I used to really enjoy Patterson books but anymore they seem very forced and unimaginative.

What could James Patterson and Howard Roughan have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I could barely get past all the distracting sound effects and music to listen to the story.

What didn’t you like about Jay Snyder and Ellen Archer ’s performance?

Very cheesy. I prefer one narrator, kind of like the voice in my head.

    Any additional comments?

Please stop adding sound effects and music to recorded books. That is what our imaginations are for.
