If you make a deal with the devil, can you still save your soul? To avoid becoming the love-slave of a depraved criminal vampire, bounty-hunter and witch Rachel Morgan is cornered into a deal that could promise her an eternity of suffering. But eternal damnation is not Rachel's only worry. Her vampire roommate, Ivy, has rediscovered her taste for blood and is struggling to keep their relationship platonic; her boyfriend, Nick, has disappeared – perhaps indefinitely; and she's being stalked by an irate pack of werewolves.

Rachel lives up to her air head, kick ass reputation. There are moments where im thinking no one could possibly be this stupid! how could anyone portray her as such? She's becoming more and more a fictional character in a book rather than a personality you would be able to envision in the real world. And that might not make very much sense, in that this is a fictional book, but personality, i think, is universal.

Other than that i loved this book in the series, i found myself routing for her and wanting her to win. But at the same time wishing other things would happen.

During the last few months, former bounty hunter Rachel Morgan has been rather busy. Having escaped relatively unscathed from her corrupt former employers, she's not only acquired a vampiric room-mate called Ivy, faced werewolf assassins, and battled shape-shifting demons, but she has also found the time to pick up a boyfriend (even if he is only human) and to open her very own runner agency. But cohabiting with a vampire, however reformed, has its dangers....

I listened to the first book in the series, and i wasnt going to buy the second because i didnt particularly enjoy the narrator. She does take some getting used to and i am now glad I did buy the second and the third in the series, and im buying the fourth today. So take that for what ever its worth.

If you could sum up Monster Hunter International in three words, what would they be?

    Engaging, imaginative, quenching

What was one of the most memorable moments of Monster Hunter International?

The moment you realise how important the main character is, and how everything ties in together.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When a characters preminitions are confirmed and people actually started to believe that theres something to them.

    Any additional comments?

Its a fantastic story.. I purchased it at $4.95 just to try something different. I was expecting something far less quality, and a story that wasnt as intelligent as it has turned out to be. I have now listened to all the series on audible and the only thing im disapponted with is that the entire series isnt here, so i have to wait for the rest.

What other book might you compare Ain't She Sweet? to and why?

Tempation and Call me irresistibleThey all have lead actresses that have a lot of spunk, their all love stories and their all fantastically heart warming.

What does Kate Flemming bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She narrates beautifully, she's bang on with the accents, the timing, even down to the annoying characters she truely captures their annoying voices, she is the most gifted narrator i've had the pleasure of listening to!

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Already have, and yes i'd listen to it a third time!

What other book might you compare Divergent to and why?

I cant think of any book that compares to it, maybe a teen sci-fi fantasy novel where the world is split into virtues

    Which scene was your favorite?

I cant say or i'll ruin the story :)
Its the moment where she finds where she really should belong.

What disappointed you about The Birds and the Bees?

No matter how many times i attempted getting through the first couple of chapters i couldn't, on occasion i fell asleep to the monotone of the narrator. I havent managed to get through the bloody thing so i cant tell you that the story is a complete loss, nor i can say that it continues in the exact manner as the first chapters. What i can say is i think its a miserable audio book and im upset that i wasted my time and money on it.

What was most disappointing about Milly Johnson’s story?

It was too slow, didnt captivate, or spark any imagination.

Would you be willing to try another one of Becky Hindley’s performances?

    Im not sure, probably not.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Birds and the Bees?

I would rewrite the first chapter of the book and make it interesting

    Any additional comments?

Im being bias. I havent read the whole thing, and if the first chapters are any indication of the rest of the story then i've made the right choice by not forcing myself through it.

Captivating, enthralling, suspense packed, a great ending with a couple of twists. The only criticism i can give this book is that it ended :(
Its always sad when you finish a book you cant put down for the life of you!

Sick of hearing about vampires? So is Meena Harper. But her bosses are making her write about them anyway, even though Meena doesn't believe in them. Not that Meena isn't familiar with the supernatural. See, Meena Harper knows how you're going to die. (Not that you're going to believe her. No one ever does.)

Where does Insatiable rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I initially brought this book because I too am sooo over the Vamp fascination! Im so sick of going into the paranormal section and finding a ratio of 10 vamp books for ever 1 substantial ghost or haunting books. So i gave this book a try thinking that i might get something other than vampires. No such luck though, BUT don't despair! The story has a great story line, I thoroughly enjoyed it, the characters are great, and the ending is not quite what anyone would expect. Over all the story line was very unexpected, not your typical vamp book of girl meets vampire, they fall in love, the vampire tries to hold back fighting with his inner need to feast on the poor girl. Nope absolutely none of that in this book, I'm glad to report. Its a good book and its worth a try.

All he’s asking for is her soul. After buying the antebellum home she’s fantasized about since childhood, Anna Worthington discovers Luc, a dangerously seductive incubus who has been trapped in the house by a 50-year-old curse. To rid herself of her problem house guest, she’ll call on a priest, gypsies, ghost hunters, and the coven of witches from lust-bunny hell. All she has to do is resist him long enough to break the spell, so they can go their separate ways. If she doesn’t, she could die. And that would be the best-case scenario.

I have been trying to get an audio book that is centred in the paranormal, but i cant get away from the vampire craze at the moment, this book however satisfied me, the characters are lovely, they have spunky attitudes and i found myself laughing out loud at some points, theres the romantic intrest as all good books have, and sexual tension thrown in for good measure. The twist at the end i dont think anyone could anticipate. Overall i give this book 5stars!
Oh and the review that seems as though it gives the whole book away (i hope someone takes that down) doesnt give away the ending although i was very disappointed with her giving away too much!

Darcy Rhone thought she had it all figured out: the more beautiful the girl, the more charmed her life. Never mind substance. Never mind playing by the rules. Never mind karma. But Darcy’s neat, perfect world turns upside down when her best friend, Rachel, the plain-Jane “good girl,” steals her fiancé, while Darcy finds herself completely alone for the first time in her life… with a baby on the way.

    Overall

Emily Griffin is such a good author and she truly shows her understanding of differing personalities.
I got through the first half of the book with a great dislike for Darcy, being so superficial and self absorbed, but as the book goes on you cant help but route for her.
There were moments where I caught weird looks in public, as i realized i was laughing out loud. Thankfully, I was at home when the book evoked moments of tears. I couldn't put the book down, so to speak. and as much as i was uplifted by the ending, i didnt want it the end to come.
