When a baby escapes a murderer intent on killing the entire family, who would have thought it would find safety and security in the local graveyard? Brought up by the resident ghosts, ghouls and spectres, Bod has an eccentric childhood learning about life from the dead. But for Bod there is also the danger of the murderer still looking for him - after all, he is the last remaining member of the family.

Tim says: "Wonderful story, brilliant writing and narration"
    "Classic!"
    Overall

If I am to pick my favorite of all Gaiman's works, The Graveyard Book would be it. This one might be catered to the kids, but adults can appreciate this too.

And with Gaiman doing the narration, it's just perfect!

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

    "Narration Needs Work"
    Overall

I'm a fan of the book series and have read it a lot of times now.

I'm not rating this a 3 based on the story because the story hasn't changed, it will always be good. However, I feel the narration came off as monotonous, it made me sleepy instead of excited or even interested. I think she failed to "animate" the characters properly.

Still a "hear" for those Twilight fans out there who can't get enough of the series but can't keep on reading it over and over. Nice to listen to if you're alone driving or just plain stuck in traffic.

Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor - newly married and living in the suburbs - rules the night in this seventh book from MaryJanice Davidson's New York Times best-selling series. Already busy dealing with a pesky ghost, Betsy must rise to the occasion when a pack of formerly feral vamps comes calling.

Lisa Floyd says: "Embarrased to love this series- but I do"
    "Deadly Hilarious"
    Overall

I always thought of Betsy Taylor funny but slightly irritating in the book series.

This is the first audible I've downloaded from the series, and I have to say reading and hearing are two entirely different processes. Thanks to the narrator's funny take on the characters, it became more hilarious and quite addictive to listen to.

    Thumbs up on this one.
