Ethan Wate has spent most of his life longing to escape the stiflingly small Southern town of Gatlin. He never thought he would meet the girl of his dreams, Lena Duchannes, who unveiled a secretive, powerful, and cursed side of Gatlin, hidden in plain sight. And he never could have expected that he would be forced to leave behind everyone and everything he cares about. So when Ethan awakes after the chilling events of the Eighteenth Moon, he has only one goal: to find a way to return to Lena and the ones he loves.

Leila's years on the carnie circuit were certainly an education. What she didn't learn: how to be a vampire, or how to be married to the most famous vampire of them all. Adjusting to both has Leila teetering on a knife edge between passion and peril, and now the real danger is about to begin...

Would you listen to Bound by Flames again? Why?

    MMMMMM,,,Maybe...I do love this series...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bound by Flames?

I liked the ending...it was hilarious...Vlad is quite the character....all moody and broody..and then at the end we find out he really is kind of a dork....lol

What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?

I Love Tavia..she is one of my fave narrators...she is good no matter what the story is....I could listen to her all day long...and sometimes I have...lol

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I did feel bad for Leila a lot of the time, but also she annoyed me...I mean seriously,,,where is the strong woman from the other books? She didn't get tough until near the end...I think she has a bad case of PTSD....I found myself rolling my eyes at her several times...Maybe she should have stayed mortal....

    Any additional comments?

I liked this book, I listened to it all in 1 day, I would have given it 5 stars across the board if Leila's character wouldn't have turned into such a wimp at times...and she whined and was overly dramatic...not the narration....I love Tavia..just the character itself...in the other books she was a tough chick...But I was never bored and love this series and I am so glad there will be a next one...this is not the end people...look at Jeaniene's website..there will be another one...I also like how we got a visit from several other of our beloved Night Huntress characters...over all a very fun and entertaining listen...thumbs up an a recommend from me....Jeaniene and Tavia are a great team!!!

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

If you could sum up Linger in three words, what would they be?

    Tender teenage angst....

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how Sam and Grace refuse to give up on each other...even though everything was falling apart...

    Which scene was your favorite?

I am going to say when Cole meets Isabel for the first time...even thought this book s a whole is very enjoyable...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh yes...tears near the end...and there were some cute funny parts...

    Any additional comments?

Again I wasn't sure if I was going to like this 2nd story in the beginning...I don't like it when the switch narrators on me...and switching the narrator for Sam could have ruined this one for me...but I gave it a chance and ended up loving this book I think a little more than the first one...this story is a little more raw in my opinion and I will be starting #3 right away! If you enjoyed the first one...you will love this one too...2 thumbs up!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think I will say Adrian....I do like Ivy too....but she needs to grow more...and I think she will...This is a borderline YA/Adult book....keep that in mind when you go to listen to this..

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Unremarkable Heart and Other Stories?

Ummmmm...The end of the first story....the second story...and the last story....the last stories ending is still rolling around in my head....just wow....

Which character – as performed by Shannon Cochran – was your favorite?

You really cant pick a character here...this book isn't the kind of book where you can fall in love with any of these characters...if anything you may fear them or loathe them....

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did...it was shocking and appalling...I can only really say that I loved the first story...it made me a little happy....the other ones were extremely tragic...well not the 4th story...it was lighter compared to all the others...I did like the book as a whole..but I like dark sometimes...and I understand the women in these stories...the world is not always cupcakes and daisies...and not everything has a happy ending...

    Any additional comments?

If you are looking for a light listen...don't even attempt this book...I did like it...it was well written and well read...it deals with the darker side of life and was not far fetched at all in my opinion...people shock so easily...and yes this book will shock you...I am glad I got this book as a daily deal or I would have never known it existed...well worth a listen...but only if you can take the dark and dirty side of life.and understand the heart and mind of a woman scorned....
