What made the experience of listening to For a Few Demons More the most enjoyable?

This is a good, story, but not great like book 4.....the first half of the book drags a bit, but as a true Rachel fan, I knew it would get better...and BAM...the 2nd half of this book was incredibly awesome....

What was one of the most memorable moments of For a Few Demons More?

When Rachel tries to make a deal with the artifact...and it turns into a violent blood bath...I felt so bad for her....always trying to do something good, and it backfires....

Which character – as performed by Marguerite Gavin – was your favorite?

I love Rachel of course, but then Jenks....and Al....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they find Kisten....I was so sad....I loved him and he didn't deserve that....

    Any additional comments?

I love this series, but since book 6 is not narrated by Marguerite Gavin, I will be reading it the old fashioned way on My Kindle....lol then I will go back to audio for book 7!

Indian Hill is about an ordinary boy who grows up in relatively normal times but who finds himself thrust into an extraordinary position. Growing up in suburban Boston, Michael enjoys the trials and tribulations that all adolescents go through, from the seemingly tyrannical mother, to girl problems, to run-ins with the law. From there he escapes to college out in Colorado with his best friend, Paul, where they begin to forge new relationships with those around them. It is one girl in particular that has caught Michael's eye, and he alternately pines for her and laments ever meeting her.

  • Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas to cover a motorcycle race, Raoul Duke (Thompson) and his attorney Dr. Gonzo (inspired by a friend of Thompson) are quickly diverted to search for the American dream. Their quest is fueled by nearly every drug imaginable and quickly becomes a surreal experience that blurs the line between reality and fantasy. But there is more to this hilarious tale than reckless behavior, for underneath the hallucinogenic facade is a stinging criticism of American greed and consumerism.

This is not so much a story as a performance..there is a little story there..but its more a paranoid rant that is hilarious...yes I have seen the movie...and this is worth a listen...but don't take it to seriously...and if you cant find humor in severe drug abuse and partying...than don't even bother...it is well written...and performed...just crazy...I did enjoy it though!

Timothy lived a life only a psychopathic sociopath could enjoy and understand. When he was bitten on the first day of the zombie-apocalypse he turned the tides on a single-minded virus he affectionately called Hugh. Together they terrorized a city before seemingly meeting their untimely demise. Nobody could have foreseen his resurrection. Tim's close call with death has done nothing to temper his missions in life, to live, to eat and to rule the world. Tim is back and he's an asshole.

Cant wait for #3!!!! If you are a Tufo fan...take a listen...but fasten your seat belts...this is a bumpy ride... If you haven't read MT yet...there is no better time than now to start....may I suggest you ease in with The ZFO series first! 2 really filthy thumbs up!

    Any additional comments?

I LOVED this...this was a really cool tragic tale, and I liked Callis...yes, she was deadly, yes she was scary...and yes I adored her!! She was really a sweet girl, she just got pushed to far, and things went horribly wrong....people should not have free reign to treat others of lower economic means cruelly..and lets face it...Callis can not be held at fault for having this power...yes she messed up when she was little girl and her family ended up dead...but she learned...and she probably would have never hurt anyone, if they wouldn't of hurt her...she was provoked every time....and I loved the mention of BT....woohoo!! FABULOUS LISTEN!! Mark does it again....I am doing a Tufo marathon....On to Timothy!!! DO NOT HESITATE...DOWNLOAD THIS NOW AND LISTEN!!! 2 HUGE THUMBS UP AND A HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Golden Globe-winning actor Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) performs Truman Capote's masterstroke about a young writer's charmed fascination with his unorthodox neighbor, the "American geisha" Holly Golightly. Holly - a World War II-era society girl in her late teens - survives via socialization, attending parties and restaurants with men from the wealthy upper class who also provide her with money and expensive gifts. Over the course of the novella, the seemingly shallow Holly slowly opens up to the curious protagonist.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Holly!! I adore her...she is a complete mess..and not afraid to admit it!

What does Michael C. Hall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He was awesome...soulful and so pleasant to listen to...I would love to listen to some of his other work!

If you could rename Breakfast at Tiffany's, what would you call it?

    The Book Of Holly!

    Any additional comments?

This was downright captivating!! Such a clean writing style and precise imagery! I always go for newer more modern tales and scifi stuff...but this caught me off guard and shows me that good writing is just that! Holly is eccentric and most likely mentally ill in some way...probably bi-polar, but they didn't diagnose people that way back then...I do NOT think she was a prostitute...an Escort maybe...but really she was just a free spirit...she lived her life how she wanted to, and was honest about it...YES she had an evil streak, but don't we all? She was young and precocious, and I think she will go into my list of most favorite literary characters...I would have like to have known her....Great listen...2 huge thumbs up!! Short and fascinating!!!! If this would not have been on my daily deal, I would have totally missed this little gem...thank you audible!!!

This classic tale is a fantastical fable of two dear friends - one of whom goes astray and is literally lost to the north woods, while the other undertakes an epic journey to rescue him. This charming, strange, and wonderful story is a timeless allegory about growing up and the challenges of staying true to one's self, and it served as the wintry inspiration for the blockbuster hit Frozen.
