The audio is terrible. It is a recording that puts a strain on the listener as it is recorded like through the telephone, not a studio, and the listener can tell. The author is excellent, but not as a reader: she reads too fast. Thoroughly enjoyable, but can be hard to hear.
I had high expectations but was sadly surprised. The ending was unclear. Although the characters are good they fail to grab the listener's attention.
Should have stopped listening when I got tired first, but I carried on, through the end. What a waste of time! The author came down the totem pole, his work in Life of Pi and this is not is the same level of comparison. Do not read it.
This book was recommended to me within the website so many times and I was reluctant. Giving in to the recommendation was highly rewarding. This is one of the very best audiobooks I've ever heard. It's light, simple, yet profound in meaning, very humorous and soul fulfilling.
It only got my attention at the very end.
The narrator really needs to work on her reading aloud, she's a novice.
