    When Todd travels to Virginia to bring his widowed mother to his Texas farm, illness alters his plan. Maggie makes a living by selling soaps and perfumes, using old family recipes.     What disappointed you about Serendipity?

    The story is insipid - like a country version of Snow White and however many dwarfs the main character had running around her house. It's trite. Add to that a bad narration which, I agree, makes what is supposed to be a fresh, energetic woman sound like an old lady. I did not get past the first couple of lines in chapter 3.
