After a layoff and months of struggling, Alice Humphrey finally lands her dream job managing a new art gallery in Manhattan’s trendy Meatpacking District. According to Drew Campbell, the well-suited corporate representative who hires her, the gallery is a passion project for its anonymous, wealthy, and eccentric owner. Drew assures Alice that the owner will be hands off, allowing her to run the gallery on her own. The story was so slow to develop that I was tempted to “book-mark” and move on to another; however since Alafair has never failed to deliver I persisted and was richly rewarded. Give it a try I highly recommend it.

Personal trainer Trey Ziegler was in peak physical condition. If you didn't count the kitchen knife in his well-toned chest. Lieutenant Eve Dallas soon discovers a lineup of women who'd been loved and left by the narcissistic gym rat. While Dallas sorts through the list of Ziegler's enemies, she's also dealing with her Christmas shopping list - plus the guest list for her and her billionaire husband's upcoming holiday bash.

More about the "Christmas" festivities than about murder...but enjoyable no less. All the main characters are included, not doing much of their usual jobs but planning to attend the party of the year. Only gave it a 3 rating but worth the credit.

Wow! No More! I was very disappointed and I am still wondering why this book was so poorly constructed and more importantly how did I get through it? The whole story-line was forced and made no sense!!! Please save your credit.

During a crowded service at a cathedral in Germany, armed intruders in monks' robes unleash a nightmare of blood and destruction. But the killers have not come for gold; they seek a more valuable prize: the bones of the Magi who once paid homage to a newborn savior - a treasure that could reshape the world.

    Overall

three stars only!...Great for the price. The storyline is very overwhelming and I had a very difficult time with John Meagher totally butchering the Italian language and failing to give an italian accent to the Italians....Rachel sounds like an American...even her name is mispronounced - che = "k". Perhaps Grover Gardner, David Colacci or even Paul Michael would have been better.
