Jem has headed off to university, leaving single mum Ginny with a severe case of empty-nest syndrome. To make matters worse, the first gorgeous man she's clapped eyes on in years has just accused Ginny of shoplifting. She decides to advertise for a lodger, but what she gets is lovelorn Laurel, who can only talk about her ex-boyfriend. But Laurel has a dangerously charming brother, Perry, and with the offer of a great new job on top of that, things seem to be looking up.

I really enjoyed this book. It's not your typical mindless beach-read and yet it's not heavy or sappy at all. The mom could be your best friend and the daughter, well, so could she. All around it's a feel-good, everyone gets what he/she deserves book.

With more than 10 million copies in print worldwide, New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series is a global phenomenon. Lord John and the Private Matter, starring one of the most popular Outlander characters, captures all the adventure and magic of the series while delivering a fresh tale that is utterly captivating.

    "Boring"
    Overall

I didn't dislike it, but I have to say it was pretty boring. John Gray's character was more multidimensional in the Outlander series, which is interesting, because there he was a more minor character. I was really disappointed that The Fiery Cross isn't available on Audible in its unabridged format. With that in mind, this was a decent enough Gabaldon fix.

Meredith Granger is frighteningly well-cultured and impossible to impress. So far, Anna hasn't even been allowed to meet her. But when Charlie leaves the country on business for the summer, Anna decides to take matters into her own hands. Reinventing herself from top to toe, Anna embraces a whole new life.

I keep looking out for more audio books by this author. I thought this book was hilarious. The main character was totally realistic and I loved all the scenes at the office with the "boys." Caro, the best friend is oh so how it really is...we've all have one like her. Same goes for the boyfriend...unfortunately. Nice book.

It all started with Whitney "Pink" Pearl's bank statement. More than $200,000 mysteriously showed up in her account...along with a paper trail linking her to embezzling from the charity she'd been hired to safeguard!

This author has got to write more more more. This book was really fun and entertaining and surprisingly, well, surprising. I highly recommend it. Now, Feagan, if you read this....get crackin' on your next novel!!!
