After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

Would you recommend Cold Days to your friends? Why or why not?

I thought the depressing nature of the previous book Ghost Story was my reason for not loving it like I have many other books in this series, but I think it's something more then that. These book are not what they used to be. Butcher seems to spend more time coming up with cheesy action film one liners and tired pop culture references in lieu of a good story.

These books are becoming formulaic and I can finish Harry's banter before I even read the next line. Harry's relationships with women are just becoming creepy and I no longer desire him to find love, I just want him to stop talking about women in general.

I'll continue to enjoy reading the early books in this series, but I don't think I'll be buying another book in this series. I'm honestly surprised at all the 5 star reviews for this book as it just feels lazy to me. I waited so long to read this book and I could barely finish it :(

Which character – as performed by James Marsters – was your favorite?

James as always does a wonderful job. I look forward to hearing more from him.

Arch-swindler Moist von Lipwig never believed his crimes were hanging offenses, until he found himself with a noose around his neck, dropping through a trap door, and falling into...a government job? Getting the moribund Postal Service up and running again, however, may be an impossible task. Worse, the new Postmaster could swear the mail is talking to him.

I consider myself a connoisseur of audio books and this is one of the best I have heard. The book and its narrator are both a pleasure to read. This is my first experience with Terry Pratchett and certainly will not be my last. Great characters all performed excellently by the narrator. Check it out, you will not be sorry.
