Dani "Mega" O’Malley plays by her own set of rules - and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

I wasn't a big fan of Dani in the Fever series. I wasn't planning on reading or listening to this book, but decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did! If you liked the Fever and Highlander series', you'll love this too. Already am dying to know what happens next!

When Sofia Claremont was kidnapped to a sunless island, uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet, she believed she'd forever be a captive of its dark ruler, Derek Novak. Now, after months of surviving an endless night, the morning sun may soon rise again for Sofia.

Emma Galvin needs to learn how to voice act, not just read with the same meter repeatedly. The other voice actors are very good, but she doesn't fit in with this group. I'll just read the remaining books.

It's not at all the typical vampire story. It started out intense and just kept growing. I'm very much looking forward to reading the next book.

Would you listen to The Eye of the World again? Why?

I have read this twice, and listened to it twice. It's narrated so well, and I think that Kate and Michael make the story come to life. Mr. Jordan can get quite wordy with descriptions, but hang in there, it's a great story!

What did you like best about this story?

    The depth of the characters.

What about Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s performance did you like?

    Believable, for the setting.
