Centuries in the past, mankind fought a seemingly unbeatable adversary from sector to sector across the Spiral Arm until the war ground to a standstill and the Enemy withdrew. Believing that they had won, the citizens of the galaxy rebuilt. The Inner Worlds, which had escaped the worst of the war's ravages, became even more insular, while the Rim worlds adopted a free and easy way with law and order. Now, hundreds of years after their withdrawal, the Enemy is back - and this time they'll be satisfied with nothing less than the extinction of the galaxy.

What did you love best about Crystal Soldier?

The 2 main characters. They are very compelling and able to pull in the reader.

Have you listened to any of Kevin T. Collins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first book read by Kevin T. Collins... and I fell in LOVE! I will now seek out other books he's read just to hear him read! He truly did an excellent job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Can one man save the universe from destruction?

    Any additional comments?

Book started off slow for me, by skipping some time... but picked up. I ended excited to read the next book.

Don’t Sweat. Don’t Laugh. Don’t draw attention to yourself. And most of all, whatever you do, do not fall in love with one of them. Gene is different from everyone else around him. He can’t run with lightning speed, sunlight doesn’t hurt him and he doesn’t have an unquenchable lust for blood. Gene is a human, and he knows the rules.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hunt to be better than the print version?

Maybe. Possibly, the slower sections are easier to listen to than read?

What other book might you compare The Hunt to and why?

Hunger Game - a government organized hunt/killing game. Ender's Game - Child/Young person alone and expected to outsmart a devious and pitiless enemy.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Gene is trapped in a dark library with a bunch of blood thirsty vampires.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Gene is thinking about his life and the audience sees his self-hatred.

    Any additional comments?

In the beginning of this book I didn't think I'd like it. Regardless of faults I found, I am still eager to read the next book.

The death of Lord Edward Crick has unleashed a torrent of gossip through the seedy taverns and elegant ballrooms of Oxfordshire. Few mourn the dissolute young man - except his sister, the beautiful Lady Lydia Farrell. When her husband comes under suspicion of murder, she seeks expert help from Dr. Thomas Silkstone, a young anatomist from Philadelphia. Thomas arrived in England to study under its foremost surgeon, where his unconventional methods only add to his outsider status. Against his better judgment, he agrees to examine Lord Edward’s corpse.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's interesting enough to listen to.

Would you recommend The Anatomist’s Apprentice to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend with caveat or two. Those being; that the characters in this book seem oblivious to what information they know that they might need to tell someone else about. People were a little clueless to CSI type things, but I had a hard time swallowing that they were as oblivious as the Author painted them.

What about Simon Vance’s performance did you like?

    Voice acting true to characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    The birth of CSI

    Any additional comments?

It was interesting, but not as fast paced as the murder stories we are used to in the 21st century. Characters are also naive, but true to the times. Annoyingly clueless at times.

In this first book of the trilogy, Friedman introduces listeners to a world of high fantasy, replete with vampire-like magical powers, erotic interludes, treachery, war, sorcery, and a draconic creature of horrific power and evil that will have listeners eagerly awaiting the next novel in the series.

What did you love best about Feast of Souls?

    The realistic Character portrayals.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Feast of Souls?

Ripping off the head of a child!?!

What does Elisabeth Rodgers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice gave me a different mental picture of the leading lady than just the words would have done...more approachable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Well written and read.
