    The previous review by Philip of Ft. Worth Texas shows that the man didn't even read the book. Frank McCourt didn't drown in the bottle. If he did, he wouldn't have been writing the most wonderful memoirs of his life. Frank McCourt rules when it comes to narration. Frank Mccourt can teach us all a thing or two about life. LISTEN TO HIS BOOKS!! There are no better. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

    I've listened to Book 1 and 2 of the Amelia Peabody series with Susan O'Malley narrating. I have also sampled the narration of Barbara Rosenblat. Rosenblat's cadence turns Amelia into a cold, unsensuous old maid. Her narration lacks the passion of Susan O'Malley's fetching and lively "conversation."

    I listen to audio books while commuting back and forth to work. The first half of book was good - I like Dan Brown's style of writing - the second half of the book had me white knuckled, talking to the characters - yelling to the characters - and looking forward to my next commute.... Take me away Calgon.... Digital Fortess is next despite negative reviews. I listened to Deception Point despite negative reviews and thoroughly enjoyed it. Give it a try.

    As an artist and also a victim of rape, I identified with Artemisia. Her story is endearing and inciteful, unfolding the life of a female artist in the 1600's plus dealing with the struggles of women, whether 400 years ago or today. I recommend this book to those who embrace art and womanhood. The narrator's voice is pure emotion.
    Downside - I hated the ending. It left me wanting more.
