I am a bit of a Holmes snob in that I don't like stories where Holmes gets married or fights Martians.
This story is not only spellbinding but is very consistent with the orignal stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The narrator was very good also.
I highly recommend it.
Perhaps I should say "excellent" as long as you are interested in a lot of depth. I was and found it absolutely fascinating.
If you are a student of WWI you have to get this book. It is a bit long but it is never boring. One thing I really liked is how the author added "Background" chapters throughout the book. I also generally liked the level of detail for the separate battles.
