Discover an alternate history to the human race as the authors of Forbidden Archeology challenge one of the most fundamental components of the modern scientific world view. Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson discuss the work of researchers who, over the past 2 centuries, have found bones and artifacts showing that people like ourselves existed on earth millions of years ago.

    "Real Science"
    Overall

This is a great book that challenges the establishment and the politics of science. Science has always been handicapped by the overbearing personalities trying to keep their theories alive for personal gain. This book is not only a good source of information but an interesting point of view on the politics of science. It’s good to keep this perspective in mind when debating current hot topic science/political issues like Global warming and Evolution.

After 12,000 years, the once-supreme Galactic Empire was plunging into a future of barbarism and warfare. All knowledge previously created by mankind faced destruction. Only Hari Seldon, creator of the revolutionary science of psychohistory, foresaw the dark age of ignorance that was to come, and set out to preserve knowledge and mankind itself.

The original story is a classic this rendition is bad. The narration is bad, the music is annoying. Get the other version.

Once again Michael Crichton gives us his trademark combination of page-turning suspense, cutting-edge technology, and extraordinary research. State of Fear is a superb blend of edge-of-your-seat suspense and thought provoking commentary on how information is manipulated in the modern world.

    "Food for thought"
    Overall

State of fear is a great blend of research and storyline. Again Mr. Crichton takes current events, adds some cutting edge technology and ties it together with history and little mind-bending philosophy. If you agree or disagree with the premise Mr. Crichton gives you the ability to research both sides. I found the story very captivating, entertaining, and educational.

I am usually very critical of the narrators. Although there are some background noises I felt he had an enjoyable voice and good characterization.

I have read articles on both sides of this controversy, for an opponent to condemn State of Fear as radical is not true. The author is not afraid to take a side and is willing to back it up with years of research. If some of his ideas could be used is the real world, the environment would be in much safer hands and there would be no place for lies on ether side.
Mr. Crichton is a man with a concern for the environment without an agenda.

"In ancient times they had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies."
    Stephen Leacock.
