  • Secrets of the Immortal: Advanced Teachings from A Course in Miracles

    • ORIGINAL (7 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Gary Renard
    • Narrated By Gary Renard

What if you could accelerate your spiritual progress so greatly that you would never have to "come back" to learn more lessons? Is it possible that a form of "advanced forgiveness", if fully understood and achieved, could bring you perfect peace? According to Gary Renard, all the instructions to transcend human suffering and dissolve the illusions of this world are contained in A Course in Miracles.

David says: "Nicely done, easy listening"
    "Life changing"

As you study the teachings in this book you gradually become a better person. You do not want to say and do the judgemental things you used to say and do. As judgement disappears from your thinking it ceases to create guilt. You begin to see others in a new way and begin recieving a nicer world.

As guilt drops from yourself you begin to feel better about your true self and others. It becomes a circle of release from the past and future creating a now that contains less fear and is much more pleasant.

Many other self help studies though helpful, are paint compared to these teachings. If you really want to help yourself it comes about from sincerely helping others. Things you once thought important will fall away to be replaced by something deep inside that is far better.

If the world followed the teachings talked about in this book there would be no wars, no crime and It would awaken from its nightmare.

  • The Son

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 48 mins)
    • By Philipp Meyer
    • Narrated By Will Patton, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Shepherd, and others
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Part epic of Texas, part classic coming-of-age story, part unflinching portrait of the bloody price of power, The Son is an utterly transporting novel that maps the legacy of violence in the American West through the lives of the McCulloughs, an ambitious family as resilient and dangerous as the land they claim. Spring, 1849: Eli McCullough is 13 years old when a marauding band of Comanches takes him captive. Brave and clever, Eli quickly adapts to life among the Comanches, learning their ways and waging war against their enemies, including white men - which complicates his sense of loyalty and understanding of who he is.

Melinda says: "Five Stars for the Lone Star, The Son, & Meyer"
    "Hard to get into"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

It would be far better if written in historical order. It jumps back and forth, and about 1/3 through the book I still am confused about what is going on!

Has The Son turned you off from other books in this genre?

If I knew it was out of sequence I would not buy it!

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

    Performance was good.

Was The Son worth the listening time?

    Not really!

    Any additional comments?

I like books that get the reader or listener involved. This is one of those I can just throw aside without finishing.

  • Slaughter: The Last Gunfighter

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 54 mins)
    • By William Johnstone
    • Narrated By Jack Garrett
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The towering Last Gunfighter series continues with Slaughter. In the lawless West, Frank Morgan is the type of man you want on your side in a fight. But when he ventures into town, trouble always seems to find him. And now, treachery abounds as oil drillers encroach on local ranches, and violence erupts at every turn.

    John says: "Good Story"
    "Good Story"
Would you consider the audio edition of Slaughter: The Last Gunfighter to be better than the print version?

Don't have time for print. I can listen to these while I work.

What about Jack Garrett’s performance did you like?

Good job. A different voice than George Guidall which may throw those used to George's fine job, but this was still a great performance.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Slicked in oil!

    Any additional comments?

    Worth Buying!

  • The Power of Awareness

    • UNABRIDGED (2 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Neville Goddard
    • Narrated By Grover Gardner
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Neville Lancelot Goddard was born in Barbados in 1905. He came to the United States to study drama at the age of 17 and whilst touring with his dance company in England he developed an interest in metaphysics after a Scotsman he met lent him a series of books on the powers of the mind. On his return he gave up the entertainment industry to devote his full attention to the study of spiritual and mystical matters.

Computer Nut says: "Brilliant distillation of essential information"
    "One of the BEST"

  • The Synchronicity Key: The Hidden Intelligence Guiding the Universe and You

    • UNABRIDGED (21 hrs and 28 mins)
    • By David Wilcock
    • Narrated By David Wilcock
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Using history, astrology, and synchronicity theory as well as concepts such as fractals, spiritual geometry, quantum physics, and other new research, Wilcock shows that there is a hidden architecture within time, guiding individuals and nations through a system of enlightenment Joseph Campbell called the Hero’s Journey. Historical events occur in shockingly precise, repeating cycles of time as a result. Once we understand and identify the hidden laws governing the fates of individuals and nations through seemingly random "synchronicity", we are left with a remarkable blueprint of how best to lead our lives in this uncertain and confusing world.

kristen says: "If you liked The Source Field Investigations..."
    "Waste of time"
What would have made The Synchronicity Key better?

This book could have been shortened with a good editor. Too much repetition and one sided politics. If what he says is true about the U S A being The Roman Empire reincarnated, the politics left out Nero!

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Nothing from this author.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The Idea might be correct but the book jumps around too much.

What character would you cut from The Synchronicity Key?

The author is the leading character and much about him could have been cut.

    Any additional comments?

I almost just deleted this book without finishing it, but decided to see where it went. Glad I was doing something else constructive at the time.

  • The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief

    • ABRIDGED (4 hrs and 28 mins)
    • By Gregg Braden
    • Narrated By Gregg Braden

Between 1993 and 2000, a series of groundbreaking experiments revealed dramatic evidence of a web of energy that connects everything in our lives and our world - the Divine Matrix. From the healing of our bodies, to the success of our careers, relationships, and the peace between nations, this new evidence demonstrates that we each hold the power to speak directly to the force that links all of creation.

John says: "Ties up the loose ends"
    "Ties up the loose ends"

The information in this book answers questions that bring the teachings of motivational gurus, spiritual teachings and The Bible full circle into understanding why and how plus WHAT we need to do to write our futures intentionally. This is the one key to understanding that I found in no other books thus far.

This is not to be confused with the MATRIX movies, because this is not science fiction. This is both scientific and spiritual combined based on results of both quantum physics experiments and miracles that actually daily take place NOW, not just thousands of years ago.

This is one of the 10 best books I ever downloaded.

  • The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits

    • UNABRIDGED (4 hrs and 36 mins)
    • By Gregg Braden
    • Narrated By Gregg Braden

In The Spontaneous Healing of Belief, you will discover that you are not limited by the laws of physics - nor by the laws of biology...and that the DNA of life is a code that may be changed and "upgraded" by choice!

    Rebecca says: "Eye Opener!"
    "Why "The Secret" works"

If you are interested in motivation and positive thinking and want to know how it works and why, this is a must listen. It also tells why "nay sayers" think it doesn't work. Law Of Attraction!

Are we really in "The Matrix"? Are we in the hiding from GOD, "what if" dream of "A Course In Miracles"?

This book is thought provoking though negative people may find it over their head.

I certainly think it is worth the listen and the price and am recommending it to my Network Marketing Team.

  • It's Not About the Money

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 53 mins)
    • By Bob Proctor
    • Narrated By Bob Proctor
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Unleash your unlimited potential, and apply the secrets to success that only an elite few truly understand. The valuable - and simple - lesson contained in this audiobook is that the best way to attract prosperity is to abandon the pursuit of wealth and allow it to flow toward oneself. The ancient laws of attraction are explained in plain language and applied in an economic framework that anyone can easily follow.

    John says: "Wow"

This is one of the best Motivational audiobooks I have ever heard on why things are and how to improve them. Bob Proctor is always great to listen to but this one puts it right where it's at. If you are in Direct Sales or MLM and wonder why things don't go well for some and why some just whither and die this explains it and what you need to do to change it for yourself or help those on your team. It also told me why some are beyond help.
    This is some great stuff!

  • Sandhills Boy: The Winding Trail of a Texas Writer

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Elmer Kelton
    • Narrated By George Guidall
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Voted by his peers as the best Western writer of all time and honored with a record seven Spur Awards, Elmer Kelton is the beloved author of such compelling tales as The Good Old Boys. A beautifully written and highly readable memoir, Sandhills Boy reveals the origins of a unique storytelling talent and Texas treasure.

    Jim says: "Shockingly boring"
    "Great story"

Elmer Kelton is my favorite western author. I read every book of his I can get my hands on. His stories are real because he lived the subject.
I always wanted to know more about him and this is his life plus a lot of serious true history about life in most of the Twentieth Century. It also has a lot of humor at times, and a lot about WW1 and WW2 you only hear from veterans.

  • 100% Motivation: Maximum Motivation for Success in Direct Sales/Network Marketing

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 46 mins)
    • By Ed Ludbrook
    • Narrated By Ed Ludbrook

This audiobook is vital to everyone in Direct Sales/Network marketing because being motivated and creating motivation in others if the key to success.Based on experience advising more than 100 network organisations and countless leaders, the lessons learnt are unique because motivating people in our business is different.

    John says: "Says It Right"
    "Says It Right"

This has great information as to why people quit before they start and how to turn them around.
Network maketing would be a dream if all involved worked as a team. I wish I could get my downline and some upline to read or hear this book. Anybody serious about making a career and money from Network Marketing should try to learn all they can and this is a good start once you learn the system of your particular company. I noticed an increase in my own daily motivation from playing this while driving and it is great way to replace the negative news morning and evening the media force feeds us. I am pleased to have found this one.

  • The Secret

    • UNABRIDGED (4 hrs and 27 mins)
    • By Rhonda Byrne
    • Narrated By Rhonda Byrne, contributors
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

It has been passed down through the ages, highly coveted, hidden, lost, stolen, and bought for vast sums of money. Fragments of this Great Secret have been found in the oral traditions, in literature, in religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. In this audiobook you will discover the Secret, and you will learn how to have, do, or be anything you want.

Elisabeth says: "Good for an intro to the Law of Attraction"
    "A good start"

If you study this book and realize several things not talked about it makes perfect sense.
By itself it is not the complete answer but is a good start.

Combine this with "A Course In Miracles", The "Seth" books, various others, and realize that everything is an illusion. You must change the illusion, erase so called past life guilt and realize that past lives are also an illusion. "The Secret" is a good beginning but guilt is the reason for a lot of our current problems INCLUDING SICKNESS and POVERTY whether current or past life. Change your illusion and behavior if it causes guilt. Look "inside any book" before you decide it needs a different cover, Then study "The Secret" till it becomes a part of you.
