Would you try another book from Virginia Brown and/or Karen Commins?

Virgina Brown -- maybe, she did make me laugh out loud a couple of times. Karen Commins -- no

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Silly complicated plot. -- fun fluff, fell in love with Chitlin' --

Would you be willing to try another one of Karen Commins’s performances?

    Nope

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Maybe, would depend on the cast

Lady Georgiana Rannoch, 35th in line for the British throne, knows how to play the part of an almost royal - but now she's off to Hollywood, where she must reprise her role as sleuth or risk starring in an all-too-convincing death scene...

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Narration -- Georgie was too shrill. Hispanic accents sounded just like Irish. California sherriff sounded like Texas

Would you be willing to try another book from Rhys Bowen? Why or why not?

I've listened to a lot of Ms. Bowen's books, so I would consider another. I would not pre-order but would wait for reviews

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Katherine Kellgren?

    Maybe Nicola Barber

Was Queen of Hearts worth the listening time?

    just barely

    Any additional comments?

Sound mixing was not good for listening. Some times too loud, sometimes inaudible.

Daniel James Brown's robust book tells the story of the University of Washington's 1936 eight-oar crew and their epic quest for an Olympic gold medal, a team that transformed the sport and grabbed the attention of millions of Americans. The sons of loggers, shipyard workers, and farmers, the boys defeated elite rivals first from eastern and British universities and finally the German crew rowing for Adolf Hitler in the Olympic games in Berlin, 1936.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Boys in the Boat to be better than the print version?

    Don't know. Audio version outstanding.

What did you like best about this story?

    Great story

Have you listened to any of Edward Herrmann’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Don't think so. Really enjoyed his reading. Just a few little mispronounced local place names

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No. Too long
