Neal Stephenson is a blazing new force on the sci-fi scene. With the groundbreaking cyberpunk novel Snow Crash, he has "vaulted onto the literary stage." It weaves virtual reality, Sumerian myth, and just about everything in between with a cool, hip cybersensibility - in short, it is the gigathriller of the information age.

    A. Tuck says: "Classic Stephenson"

I found this book to be well-written. However, the story line and the character development didn't engage me as a reader/listener. I had to "work" at paying attention to this book. That's unusual for me.

Haunted by his failure to stop a suicide bomber in London, Gabriel Allon is summoned to Washington and drawn into a confrontation with the new face of global terror. At the center of the threat is an American-born cleric in Yemen who was once a paid CIA asset.

Silva is a great author. This book is good, but the story doesn't impress me as one of his best.

The performance is by an accomplished professional whom I've enjoyed before. This may have been too difficult a book for him to do anything good with - I don't know. However, it was sub-standard.

The book simply didn't work for me. It was a chore for me to get through. It's the first book in a long, long time I regret purchasing.

He is a good man, a brilliant corporate executive, an honest, handsome family man admired by men and desired by women. But a lifetime ago Ben Tyson was a lieutenant in Vietnam. There the men under his command committed a murderous atrocity -- and together swore never to tell the world what they had done. Now the press, army justice, and the events he tried to forget have caught up with Ben Tyson.

Diana says: "Nelson does it again"
    "A Very Well Done Book"
    Overall

DeMille is one of my favorite authors. He demonstrates the breadth of his skills in this book. It's an engaging story with several characters very well developed. That requires an interest in people and the Viet Name era. There are many lives that were affected by this "war". This story tells about some of them.

    "A Good Read!"
    Overall

This book is very different than Angels and Demons and from The DaVinci Code. Yet it is stylistically similar. Brown did a good job of developing the plot and engaging the listener in an exciting tale. I recommend it highly.
