Middle of the pack.
I love all the characters in this series. :)
She tried to make each character distinctive, but erred on the side of making them caricature: the main character Dittany was performed as being so timid that every one of her sentences is a question; other characters had such exaggerated accents to the point of seeming prejudiced and insulting. This is one of my favorite series but I would be embarrassed to recommend this audiobook to a friend. Lori may think she is Jim Dale, but she isn't.
Murder can be fun!
I really appreciate Charlotte MacLeod's books being released on audiobook (as well as Kindle) but I wish they had invested a little more and got a professional narrator.
It was a captivating story, simple and amusing to begin with but developed complexities in both character and plot. Wil did an incredible job performing a very entertaining story.
The story of how the alien was named.
When the "new" Joshua accomplished his mission but not in the way I expected.
I laughed out loud.
I have listened to over a hundred audiobooks when convenient, but I could not stop this one until I listened to the whole book in one sitting. Then I wanted to start over again and see any nuances I missed the first time (but I had to go to work instead.) Narrator: at first, I was pleased to see how "Wesley Crusher" had matured, but very soon I couldn't hear "Wil Wheaton" and instead just heard each character distinctly and was seamlessly into the story.
