Possible Spoiler Warning. Subterranean seas are opening and raising the sea level? Really come on, what would push the water up? The planet Earth wants life to survive and adjusts herself? The hostage portion is silly and does not even compute. I only finished this book to see how ridiculous it would become with time. How did Helen die? It was so irrelevant I missed it. What a waste of money and time, about the worst novel by far I have ever read. If this can be published we should ask so 1st graders to submit their novels. Dont waste your money.
I enjoy survival, zombie, apocalypse books for fun, but not Tea Party books. If you think that President Obama has a super secret agenda to bring down the self sufficient segment of the population, you will love this book. If you are more realistic I would steer away from it. The story itself wasn't exceptionally bad except for the hyper detail of the equipment the characters used down to towel choices.
Screamed or jumped more than once.
Really worth the credit, bet you buy the whole series.
Even if anyways was a word (it is not anyway is the correct form). Using it 50 times in a chapter gets annoying even when correct. "They slept poorly anyways". What is wrong with they slept poorly. I know I am being grammar psychotic, but once I keyed in I wanted to kill the editor and finally had to give up on the book.
The reader was awesome.
N/A only one character as it is in a journal format.
I am a zombie junkie. This author is no Mark Tufo or Manel Loureino.
As a voracious reader of fantasy and epic fantasy I found this story tedious with no character that I root for and no bad guy I could root against. After getting half way through and realizing that my mind had wandered to my grocery list for the 5th time I switched over to Watership Down to re-listen to a childhood favorite that I had downloaded to listen to with my 7 year old. Compared to this book, Watership Down is a an edge of your seat thriller epic.
This may have been a good book, but was so poorly read I lost my way many a time; and I listen to 3 books a week on average. So poor in fact this is my first review ever of a book I have listened to. Save your money and buy the actual book if you are a fan.
