One choice can transform you - or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves - and herself - while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

I was really looking forward to this book, because though I saw the flaws of Divergent, I enjoyed the fast pace, and the futuristic qualities of the first book. This book had none of those qualities. I was bored with the abundance of description, and feelings, and the lack of much adventure. I would have stopped listening had I not had a 16 hour drive to fill. My son kept telling me to turn it off, and he too enjoyed Divergent. I tired of hearing of the color of eyes, and the aches in their bodies. I wish I had not spent the credits on this book, and hope that I may keep others from wasting theirs also.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

    Story

If you like books that are filled with sex, wife beating, well any kind of beating, rape, with a heroine that is fickle and weak. And in between all those beatings, and abuse, there are ramblings in the countryside with more sex, and then a little rape, then some more sex, but before all that goes on there is about 8 hours just getting to know the heroine. Who is a bit shallow, and yet adjusts to 18th century life with almost no problems. (not too plausible) I know that others absolutely loved the book, which is why I decided to get it, but I just wanted others to know, that it was 10 romance novels long, yet there is no direction, and ends leaving you wanting.

When 15-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing, not even a smear of blood, to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

If you could sum up City of Bones in three words, what would they be?

    teenagerish, engrossing, predictable

Who was your favorite character and why?

I guess that was my biggest problem; I didn't like any of the characters all that much, and so I wasn't as invested in having things turn out well for any of them.l

What aspect of Ari Graynor’s performance would you have changed?

I found her reading to detract from the book, and wished they had gotten another reader

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book, but I wouldn't jump to listening to it, but would rather read it instead.

I love to read YA fiction, as I have three boys at my house, with whom, I enjoy talking to about books. This one was a great listen. I listened with the boys, and we all enjoyed it and wanted to listen to more. The writing was enjoyable. The characters believable.

This book was riveting. I kept trying to find excuses to do things that i could do while listening to the book. The narrator was great. He brought all the characters to life. There is so much action going on in the book that one has to pay attention at all times. There is some mild language, and a lot of blood and gore. I recommended my son to listen and he too enjoyed it.

The award-winning artist Brom takes us on a haunting look at the true world of Peter Pan, in his first full-length novel. From modern day New York to the dying land of Faerie, The Child Thief reveals the world of Peter Pan through the eyes of an insecure runaway who is seduced by Peter’s charm. But any dreams of a fairy wonderland are quickly replaced by the reality of life and death survival as Peter’s recruits are forced into a lethal battle in which the line between good and evil is blurred.

I like a good twist on an original, but this book was so dark and depraved, that I had to fast forward all the time to avoid the evil images filling my mind. I wish I had never spent the credit on it.

I got this book because others reviewed and said it was good, and entertaining. I have to desagree. I thought the book was weak. The plot was weak, the characters, had little appeal, and the ending was very unsatisfying. I wish I had not rented it. Of course the language made me not be able to listen to it with the kids in the car, which is always a problem also, for a busy mom.
