Best-selling author Ann B. Ross cooks up a batch of fun in this latest novel in her popular series. With a crisp bite in the air, Miss Julia is enjoying a well-earned respite by her new fireplace. But autumn leaves aren’t the only things falling: James, Hazel Marie’s housekeeper, has had a nasty tumble down some stairs. How can Hazel Marie feed and take care of him - not to mention a husband and two babies - when she barely knows how to boil water?

Would you try another book from Ann B. Ross and/or Cynthia Darlow?

I have all of the Miss Julia books that are available on audio-the main story line seems to be a collection of recipe's this is not what I expected and I am disappointed!

What do you think your next listen will be?

I love cozy mysteries, I wish audio books more of them.

What does Cynthia Darlow bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Everything, she is a wonderful narrator and brings life to the story.

What character would you cut from Miss Julia Stirs Up Trouble?

The recipe's, not any of the characters, I wanted more of the story line.

    Any additional comments?

    Very Disappointed!

Hannah Sugarman seems to have it all. She works for an influential think tank in Washington, DC, lives in a great apartment with her high-achieving boyfriend, and is poised for graduate school and an academic career just like her famous parents. The only problem is that Hannah doesn't want any of it. What she wants is much simpler: to cook. When her relationship implodes, Hannah seizes the chance to do what she's always loved and starts an underground supper club out of her new landlord's townhouse.

It's April, 1988, a month before Kinsey Millhone's 38th birthday, and she's alone in her office doing paperwork when a young man arrives unannounced. He has a preppy air about him and looks as if he'd be carded if he tried to buy booze, but Michael Sutton is 27, an unemployed college dropout. Twenty-one years earlier, a four-year-old girl disappeared, and a recent reference to her kidnapping has triggered a flood of memories.
