These books have great character developement plus the added bonus of zombies. If you're a fan of the comics then you'll enjoy learning more about characters from those.
I already have recommended it to a co-worker.
His voice is great for those chilling scenes where a zombie might pop out of nowhere.
The deaths of any of the main characters were well written.
I enjoyed this book a lot.
cant think of any
I laughed at times.
I love zombie books. Hell, if there's anything about a story that has the living dead in it, i'm normally hooked. But the writing on this book is just bad. The characters are no where near believable and the story is chocked full of grammar errors. Ok, call me a grammar nazi....I don't care, but if you're going to go through all the trouble to write a book, at least take some time and create a coherent sentence. It's a huge pet peeve of mine.
But back to the characters. So a man loses his wife and family to zombies in the first few pages and he's A-OK and fine about 30 minutes later. Bullcrap, I'd be curled up in a corner hoping the zombies pulled me apart. Bad characters & bad writing.
The only saving grace to this story is the narrator Jim Cooper. His voice is great for this kind of story. I'll have to see what other stories he reads. He really knows how to set the mood in a horror story. Too bad he had very little to work with here.
Better character development, buy Hooked on Phonics (he'll need it if he wants to be a decent writer).
I liked his performance
disappointment, I wish I had bought another book instead.
Seriously, don't waste your time.
didn't read it
the performance and the story (lots of action)
He brings to life Ledger's sarcastic humor...it's perfect
MIB are p*ssys next to the DMS
I never read the printed book, I prefer audio when possible.
Well, Talbot is my favorite of course.
Yes, he's a great performer. His voice just seems to match the tone and story that Tufo writes
I laughed in parts and cringed in a few others. Mark Tufo has a way of dragging a response out of his readers.
I really enjoy Tufo's stories but I have to say that Indian Hill is just not as much of an attention grabber as his Zombie Fallout series is. Don't get me wrong, I think Indian Hill is a great story but he's got better series to read.
I really enjoyed this book. It's got a whole Lovecraft vibe to it and if you're a fan of Cthuhlu mythology then you must give this book a shot.
It's a great modern telling of Lovecraft mythology.
nope, never but will find his other books.
I got the creepy crawlies in spots.
listen to it, you won't regret it.
I love the world that Recht created but with his loss, we just got a sub-par ending to his series. Brannan changed up a few of the zombie infection rules at the last minute in a WTF moment and great characters were just left being back story characters that really didn't matter much to the story in the last book. Get if you just want to finish the series off and say you listened to them all but be prepared to be let down somewhat by the ending.
Recht.....sure, but that won't happen. Brannan, I won't say no but it would have to get really good reviews.
Somewhat. His narration was kind of bothersome in the other books also.
No, let it sleep. Pay Recht the respect his universe deserves and don't mess it up any more.
Nah. I've listened to it once and it was good but not worth a re-listen. I really like the first 2 books and would listen to them again in a heart-beat.
DBDA 1 & 2, The Zombie Fallout series (although they are much more funny) and maybe even the Reign of the Dead series.
Welcome to Hotel 23
This story felt rushed. The action was there but not like in the other 2 books. I really like this series and if it all ends with this book, I'm going to be a bit disappointed. There's just so much more that can be done with this world that J.L. Bourne has created. I'd love to read more about it.
slow at times
yea, I've already recommended it.
Michael is my favorite character but BT is a close runner up. And as much as I want to hate her, I love Mrs. Deneaux.
Laughed my ass off in places
The Zombie Fallout series is one of my favorite zombie series of all time. I'm going to be bummed when it all ends.
I can't really think of any off hand. It's in a league all it's own.
He's one of the best narrators I've heard. I'll listen to other books just because he's reading them.
I laughed so hard in parts of this book that my wife worried about me.
get it, get it, get it.....'nuf said.
