The prison ship Perdition, a floating city where the Conglomerate's most dangerous criminals are confined for life, orbits endlessly around a barren asteroid. Life inside is even more bleak. Hailed as the Dread Queen, inmate Dresdemona "Dred" Devos controls one of Perdition's six territories, bordered on both sides by would-be kings eager to challenge her claim. Keeping them at bay requires constant vigilance, as well as a steady influx of new recruits to replace the fallen.

I don't think I would have read this book if not for Kate Reading. It was a nice book and am looking forward to the sequel. Kate has all the voices and makes you know that each person is a seperate charactor.

Thanks again Kate for broadening my horizons. Now if you could help with my spelling.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

I loved this book and can't wait for book 2. Whenever that will be. Not complaining this is one of those books that keep you going I should have waited until at least book two was out.
But anyway excellent job a good listen, twice, maybe I'll read it next. Hey audible how about a shout as to when we can expect book two. Ok maybe an email then.
Michael Kramer and Kate reading excellent job as always. Your both #1.

The sun has begun to set upon the Third Age. Perrin Aybara is now hunted by specters from his past: Whitecloaks, a slayer of wolves, and the responsibilities of leadership. All the while, an unseen foe is slowly pulling a noose tight around his neck....

This has been a wonderful series. Some parts slowed and some was to much discription of things someone reading the series didn't need to hear over and over again. I general it was great. The narrators, being my first, I think did a fantastic job. Now I must wait for the last book. I'm listening to the preview and it will make it the more harder to wait.

Allan Carpentier escaped from hell once but remained haunted by what he saw and endured. He has now returned, on a mission to liberate those souls unfairly tortured and confined. Partnering with the famous poet and suicide, Sylvia Plath, Carpentier is a modern-day Christ who intends to harrow hell and free the damned. But now that he's returned to this Dantesque inferno, can he ever again leave?

I never read this one. But to hear it read lent much understanding or should I say much better then reading it. Some day I'll read it. Until then I suspect I'll listen to it again.
